The crater is a unique wildlife habitat and a good variety can be seen in a relatively short time.
The Maasai still bring their cattle into the crater. Their past practice of young warriors
spearing the odd lion to prove their manhood is discouraged these days.
I have the same view taken in the wet season and it is a real contrast, green!
