This was on an overnight trip from Hue.
Overnight train travel on Vietnamese trains is not a pleasant experience !
It's uncomfortable, noisy, hot and the windows have bars on them !
The bars are to stop people throwing hand-grenades into the train.
Not that anyone has done so since the war ended,
but nobody has bothered to take the bars off.
