Italy Impressions & Musings We survived 90 hours in Rome and nothing was stolen off our person. Of course this doesn't include the transistor radio that was stolen from Dave's backpack on the flight from Malta. We thought the luggage seemed to take awhile coming out on the conveyor; but it does take time to break locks and rifle through things. Unfortunately we didn't realize this until long after we got situated in the city, so we couldn't really do anything about it. Plus, we surmised it could have happened in Malta too. We learned a lot too--that its much cheaper to get food "to go" than to eat it in nice air-con cafes with bathrooms that have toilet paper. |
