The Avatar concept is a cornerstone in hindu philosophy. Avatar is a descent, Avatar means incarnation, manifestation. Periodically the Supreme Lord Vishnu manifests itself in animal or human forms upon the earth, its mission is to preserve the world from the increasing evil. In the hindu tradition Avatar concept is related to the measurement of time, whic is based on one day of Brahma, the Creator. |
