In the fall of 2000 I started my education at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Soon after I started, the basement of my dorm was demolished to make way for a new music department. The demolition and subsequent construction area was really neet looking and was sometimes unlocked so I went down there with .-) and took some pictures!
Here's Caitlin and .-) in some tiny room that was empty except for a pair of musical notes made out of dog foot prints on the wall.
This is me and .-) outside an elevator. This time we went down there were workers still around so we couldn't get to the cool stuff without getting caught. Those hats, by the way, were just lying down there in the basement. I've been told that they were for the Marist a capella band (read: barbershop quartet).
Now some more interesting stuff. Here's an exit sign that was just hanging out of the ceiling. Look at who's perched on top of it!
Another good one. I found the sunglasses and hat down there, and this big gadget with exposed wires was there so we took a picture of that.
This is another room. I really don't understand what the hell that was supposed to be, but it looked neet.
A few days later, we went out to a cave that was dedicated to all the undergraduates who died while in school here. We fondly call it Dead Kid Cave, and there's a small recreation of the Pieta in there. I thought it would be genius to put .-) on Jesus' face! This was probably the worse thing that .-) has ever done! I know.. I am a horrible person. Accept it. Another picture of the Dead Kid Cave came out fine. I don't know why this one is so blurry. Devine intervention?
Here is a final one of .-) inside the real cave behind the Pieta section. It's really scary in there at night.
