Shadow Poetry
Shadow Poetry is a special place where amateur poets can publicly display
their poetry and  short
stories. We encourage creative writing, as well as trying new writing styles
in a family like environment. I am half owner and webmaster of Shadow
Poetry along side TimeShadow. We started Shadow Poetry as a fun,
free place for poets to visit to share their poetry with the rest of the
world. Shadow Poetry was founded in February of 2000.
The site was completely built by hand using HTML, Java Script, CGI Scripting,
and Perl. All these languages TimeShadow and I learned on our
own.

Marie is 25 years old and Shadow Poetry has become her full-time job with poetry submissions, site
awards, updating information, and managing the Shadow Poetry mailing list.
I do not get paid for all the work I do, but it is well worth it to see
our poets grow as writers because of our site. I have some of my
poems published in various poetry collection volumes, but am eagerly seeking
authoring a book of my own. On top of all this though, I am the proud
mother of two gorgeous little girls. I have built and maintain a few personal
sites for other people, but I don't do it for profit. I do it merely
for the learning experience, the creation of graphics (I love art!),
and to see the smiles on their faces.

To help improve the writing capabilities of all the Shadow Poets
by giving them an outlet to learn. I would like to eventually get some of
these wonderful poets published, and maybe one day have an online book store
where all these lovely books of poetry will be available to purchase.
