12 REASONS YOU WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR MESWEET'S AWARDS
  1. Adult, pornographic, hateful, illegal or racist sites.
  2. Invalid url or email address
  3. Sites with less than three pages of  real content.
  4. Unnecessary pop up windows. I'm not pertaining to web site hosts pop ups.
  5. If your site takes personal information from viewers and you do not have a privacy policy or privacy statement. (i.e.;  mailing list, news lists, submission forms, award application form, contests, purchase forms, any site that sells a product or service)  It is the evaluators decision on what does or does not apply to this rule and is not limited to the above samples.  Guest books are exempt from this rule, because I feel that anyone signing a guest book knows that the information you submit will be for the public to view.
  6. Applying after deadline date. 
  7. Sites where I cannot turn music off.  Upon the evaluators discretion, some flash pages will be exempt from this rule.
  8. Sites that are mainly links to other sites, unless it can be considered a resource site.
  9. Any web site that crashes or freezes my computer.
  10. Infringed upon any copyrighted material.
  11. Sites that cannot be translated with the  Systran Language Translator.
  12. Anyone under the age of 14. COPPA

Content

CONTENT:
Let your site be of value by containing something resourceful, educational, interesting, artistic, fun or useful. Sites must be family friendly.  Ask yourself this question, "Is there something at my site, that would make a person want to come back?"

HTML CODING:
At the very least you should have a title and description for every page at your site. Notice I said at the very least.

Navigation

NAVIGATION:
Your site should be made with the viewer in mind, so that they don't get lost and have to guess where what they are looking for might be. Do not waste the viewers time by leading them to broken links.

Load Time

LOAD TIME:
No one wants to wait for 5 minutes for a page to load. This is a fast moving world. Be kind to your viewers and do not put everything on just one page. I will check to see if your graphics have been optimized.

Design

DESIGN:
Show originality and creativity in your design, with a great layout and make it pleasing to the eye. If you do not create your own graphics then you must give credit where due.

Dates to Apply

DATES TO APPLY:
Submissions for Mesweet's Awards will only be accepted between the 1st through 15th of any given month. This allows me time to view the applications and get the winners posted by the end of the month. I will allow a 24 hour grace period  because of the different time zones around the world.

Submissions after the 15th = Disqualification

Languages

LANGUAGES:
The only language I know is English, but I will view any web site that can be translated using the Systran Language Translator.  Currently the only languages that can be translated are French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and of course English.  I apologize to all other languages, but if I cannot read what is on your site, then I cannot fairly judge your site.

Not able to translate with Systran  = Disqualification

Reapplications

HOW TO REAPPLY:
If you have been disqualified you may reapply after you correct the reason you were disqualified. If you were a non winner then you may reapply after you have made significant improvements at your site. If you are a winner of one of Mesweet's Awards, then you may reapply for an upgrade after 60 days and you must indicate in the application that you are requesting a review for an upgrade.
