*Lake Fort Smith State Park - Located approximately 1 mile from the cabin, the State Park includes an Olympic size pool, kiddie pool, tennis courts (no lights), pavilion, picnic tables with BBQ grills, playground equipment, boat docks, Cascading spillway (pictured below)(during wet months), fishing, walking areas, bicycling areas, gift shop.  The park also rents boats,motors, and canoes.  Email us for a phone number to reserve a boat, etc.
*Horseback Riding Stables - Located just 1 mile north of the cabin, on Hwy 71, are The Boston Mountain Horseback riding stables; where you can ride through the White Rock National Forest.  Adults and children enjoy this guided horseback ride!

Located just about 4 miles from the cabin on Hwy 71 north.

*Ozark Mountain Smokehouse - Located about 5 miles from the cabin, this restaurant is the best in the country!  Make your own sandwiches, or get some smoked meats to take home!  Also includes old fashion jellies, and baked chips, honey, cheeses, cookies, and MORE!

*Craft, Antique, & Gift Shops -  Many shops line Hwy 71 through the mountains, that will tickle even the most experienced shopper!

*Fishing -  Lake Shepherd Springs, Lake Fort Smith.  Fish for Bass, Crappie, Catfish, and Perch!

*White Rock -  (A bit more than five miles away, but I have to tell you about this place!) It  takes the cake!  See for hundreds of miles from atop the White Rock mountain!  Picnicing, Sightseeing, Swimming at Shores Lake.  Beauty beyond compare!  If you have never been here; You have missed what appreciating nature is all about!  Heaven is sooo close!
