*Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company - 600 Main St., Van Buren. The famous "A and Eagle" trademark still graces facade of this 1892 building.
*Belle Grove Historic District - Downtown Fort Smith. A 22 block area of restored homes and buildings showcasing Romanesque Revival, Queen Anne, Eastlake Victorian Renaissance, Gothic Revival, and Neo-Classical.
*Clayton House - 514 N.6th, Fort Smith. An excellent example of Classic Revival Victorian archetecture, this museum home belonged to the district attorney under Judge Isaac C. Parker.
*Crawford Co. Art Center - 104 N. 13th St., Van Buren. Housed in the Old St. Micheal's Catholic Church, built in 1912, the center offers shows, workshops, lessons, gifts, and special events.
*Crawford County Courthouse - 5th and Main, Van Buren. The oldest active county courthouse west of the Mississippi; has the original Seth Thomas tower clock.
*Darby House - 311 General Darby St.,Fort Smith. The boyhood
home of General William O. Darby, leader of Darby's Rangers in World War
II; contains tributes to Darby and artifacts from Cisterna, Italy; Fort
Smith's sister city.
*Fort Smith National Historic Site - 3rd and Rogers, Ft. Smith.
Features the remains of two frontier garrisons, the Federal Court for the
Western District of Arkansas, "Hangin' Judge" Isaac C. Parker's courtroom(closed
for renovation), a reproduction of the 1886 gallows, the "Hell on the Border"
jail, the 1846 Commisary Storehouse and re-creation of the old fort's flagpole.
*Fort Smith Trolley Museum - 100 S. 4th, Fort Smith. Take a ride between Old Fort and Trolley Museums on a 1926 Birney electric streetcar which is listed on the National Register. Also on display are railroad and transportation memorabilia.
*King Opera House - 427 Main St., Van Buren. Restored 1880s structure that once played host to Jenny Lind and William Jennings Bryan still has theatre and musical productions. (More information is available about the shows. . .coming soon to update this.)
*Miss Laura's Visitor Center - 2 N. B St., Fort Smith. A restored turn-of-the-century brothel that is now the city's visitor center. Interpretive tours are given; self-guided driving/walking brochure available. Catch the trolley here for tours of the historic district.
*Mount Olive United Methodist Church - Knox and Lafayette Sts., Van Buren. Constructed in 1889, this church is said to consist of the oldest Black congregation of the UMC system west of the Mississippi.
*Old Fort Museum - 320 Rogers Ave., Fort Smith. Artifacts depict history and culture of the area from Native Americans to present, military activity, notable personalities; revolving exhibits, old time soda fountain and gift shop.
*Old Frisco Depot - 813 Main St., Van Buren. Built in 1901, the restored depot serves as the chamber of comerce office and includes an exhibit honoring native son Bob Burns, a radio and motion picture star of the 30s and 40s.
*Patent Model Museum - 400 N. 8th, Fort Smith. Housed in the Rogers-Tilles House, the oldest residence in Fort Smith; features 85 working patent models datingfrom 1836 to the 1870s; also has 17 drawings of models datin from 1810 to 1836.
*U.S. National Cemetery - 522 Garland and 6th Sts., Fort Smith. Established in 1818 as part of the original post, the cemetery includes interments that date to 1812.
*Weidman's Old Fort Brewery - 422 N, 3rd, Fort Smith. built
by German immigrant Joseph E. Knoble in the 1840s to supply beer to local
pubs. Tours by appointment.
