![]() The Purser's Desk and La Patisserie on Regal Princess
A PARNAMI Cruise Page
On the lowest level of Plaza Atrium passengers will find the Purser's deck and La Patisserie located on opposite sides of the central, seating area.
The Purser's desk is a traditional area that serves as the ship's main business area. In addition to the normal functions, this is also the place to borrow one of the available laptop computers. Internet access, while not always available, is offered for additional charges over and above that charged for the rental.
Over on the Port side is La Patisserie, the Regal's all day coffee and pastry lounge. Regular coffee and pastries are available for no charge but anything fancier will require your cruise card. Early morning coffee drinkers will be happy to know that the coffee served here is of the genuine brewed variety, and not the coffee "sludge" served elsewhere on board. The fly in the ointment is that it's only drinkable first thing in the morning. Later in the day, with pot after pot emptied into one another, what's served no longer, accurately, could be classified as coffee; it's grown too "thick" to be called that. Somebody really should instruct the servers that, occasionally, during the day, it's wise to dump the old stuff and begin anew.
Table seating for La Patisserie extends, outdoor cafe style, into the Plaza.
Not shown but immediately adjacent to La Patisserie is the Adventures Ashore tour excursion desk.
