What Ray Scott did for bass, the American Catfishing Association is doing for catfish. The A.C.A. is proud to announce the 1998 A.C.A. Tournament Trail, where bank and boat catfishermen can compete for up to $50,000 in cash and prizes.

If you're a serious boat or weekend catfishermen the American Catfishing Association is for you. A.C.A. Tournament rules are simple, you have six chances and six weeks to qualify for the 1998 A.C.A. National Tournament held on the famous Santee Cooper Lakes in South Carolina, with all expenses paid by the A.C.A.

To qualify for the A.C.A. National Tournament, fish any public water within your state or division, take your catch to any bait shop or business that has approved scales, weigh, measure, witness, and photo your catch and send it to the American Catfishing Association. It's that simple. {see official entry form and tournament rules}

If you fail to qualify for the A.C.A. National Tournament you still have a chance. The American Catfishing Association will draw {10} non qualifying entries, five bank and five boat entries and send them to the A.C.A. National with all expenses paid by the A.C.A.

No boat, no problem, you can qualify from the bank. Tournament rules are the same for bank and boat entries. Each entry will consist of one team captain and up to three fishing mates. {see official rules} ALL FISHING MATES MUST BE MEMBERS OF THE A.C.A.

The American Catfishing Association membership dues are $12 per year, $18 for family membership. The A.C.A. will hold special functions and tournaments in 1998 {dates to be ANNOUNCED} for family memberships only. There's fun for the whole family. The family membership also covers mate dues if you enter the A.C.A. Tournament Trail.

The entry fee for the 1998 A.C.A. Catfishing Tournament Trail is $100.00. It covers both state and division qualifying tournaments.Entries shall consist of team captain and up to three fishing mates. The same entry fee applies to bank fishing. Team captains may split entry fee with fishing mates or fish alone. Team captains can change fishing mates at any time except during tournaments. All fishing mates must be a member of the A.C.A. {see official entry rules}.
