Game Three

Commentary: Marist came out hot against the Warriors in the warriors 3rd game of the St. Pius Tourney. Marist, defending 4-A state champions, just had too many weapons for the Warriors to overcome. Due to a great performance from the University of Pennsylvania signee Patrick Lang and an overall great defensive effort by Marist, the Warriors were really out manned. Despite a big defeciet the Warriors continued to fight back and would never give up. The Warriors point gaurd Brent Thompson was unable to play due to the Flu. Coming off the bench P.J. Simpson and Cassidy Russo did a great job of running the point. Coach Hart said "Cassidy really looks like he is adjusting to the fast speed of Varsiy basketball and I feel this tournament was a wonderful experience for him." "I am also very proud of all of our bench, I feel they really played hard and raised our level of intensity." Coach Fernandez said " Marist just flat out played better than us today." "They are a well coached and discipline team and today they caught fire." "Eventhough we did not win I am proud of all my players because they never gave up and contiued to hustle on the floor." Sullivan will play tommorow at 12:00 against Kenny for the consolation final. Sullivan will be departing from Atlanta early Sunday Morning.
