I have been raising pigeons for the past 10 years or so. I am 21 years old and I am the youngest member in the WCRC. I am currently in college persuing a Web Design Degree.I got interested in Rollers about five years ago and got into the WCRC in early 1997. I only fly one kit of birds and I now have three breeder's as of April 23rd. My kitbox is 2 1/2 feet by 3 1/2 feet by 3 feet tall and can house up to 24 birds. Unfortunately I only have 13 birds at the present time due to falcons. I fly my birds "English Style" which I feel teaches my birds better habits when trapping in. You probably notice my kitbox is on wheels, this is because I keep it in my garage and roll it out onto my driveway and then relaese my birds. This has worked very well for me. As soon as the birds are back in and done with their feed, back into the garage they go. For people short on space I highly recomend this method of flying birds. I also breed & raise English Zebra Finches.Click here to go to my Zebra Finch page.
As far as a family of birds go I don't really have any specific one. I currently have 15 birds which I aquired through friendship from Ramsey AjLouni, Don Ouellette and Brent Timeus. These guys help me out a lot as I do not have the space for breeders and would be unable to have a good kit without them. They are very generous as they seem to be refilling my kit, what seems to be, every month or so because those darned falcons keep cleaning me out. I have some excellent spinners and hope to one day be up there with the "Big Boys".
