I arrived downtown in the morning to check out the set. I met with
Kathy Binns, the casting director
and event coordinator who I talked to on the phone for information,
and she asked me if I wanted
to be on the Bud crew for the movie. Without thinking of the
consequences of long hours, hurry-up
and wait maneuvers, and the work, I said "Sure, why not since I'm in
town for awhile!" The experience
itself made all those consequences go away and I thank Kathy for the opportunity of a
lifetime! Also,
I got to give shouts out to everybody I met and visited during the 10 days I was on set!
Too many to
name right here and didn't want to leave anybody out, but you know who you are! In
fact, some of
you are in the photos! I learned alot from you guys and gals! Thanks for the
great times!!!
The following pages of pictures will give you an up-close and personal look on the daily
operations
of movie-making and the fantastic vintage hulls and the people who work on them.
September 12 was
the day I took black & white, negative art, sepia, and solarized shots with my digital
camera. Let me
know what you think about those 14 pages of unique shots and about any other ones.
Commentary
will occur at the beginning of each day to clarify some shots and explain the day's
activities.
Enjoy! --Scott Tebbe
