Little Wanted Again

Sunderland are the latest Premiership club to express a firm interest in Burnley's Glen Little.
The Black Cats join an increasing list of top-flight teams to attempt to lure the winger away from Turf Moor. Sunderland manager Peter Reid tried to sign Little last year and has maintained an interest in him ever since.
As reported, Burnley boss Stan Ternent underlined the club's determination to keep Little when the player was offered an extended deal this week. If Little does not sign the new deal then Ternent may be tempted to cash in on the player as he would become available on a Bosman-ruling free transfer in 12 months time. For the moment though, Ternent is adamant over the player's future: "He's not for sale - it's as simple as that," he said.
"I have offered Glen a new deal and he's thinking about it. I would like to keep him and get him on a longer contract."

Season Tickets Top 10,000

Burnley have set another new season ticket record with the news that they have now attracted more than 10,000 fans into buying season tickets.
That is a 50 per cent increase on the previous record and shows just how much the club's promotion has caught the imagination of the local fan base.
As well as selling more than 10,000 season tickets, the club has also sold out the 32 hospitality boxes and is currently considering developing another 20 in a different stand.
And the whole feeling about the place is positive about the new season.
Assured of mass support throughout the campaign, manager Stan Ternent knows that the money flowing in for season tickets is also bolstering his transfer funds.
He may not have decided how to develop his squad as yet.
But it would appear that he won't have any trouble getting his hands on the money when he needs it.
