For RDF and Southern Cross
Overview
The adventure takes place in what was once Coachella-Indio, CA, in the
Coachella Valley. If you've been there, it's a desert. After the Zentraedi bombardment,
the area was laid waste. An RDF outpost was established in the region, as it was to be
used as a training facility after it's completion. A small town sprang up around the
outpost. Many miles to the south, a down Zentraedi cruiser sits in the blaring sun. Many
local Zentraedi now inhabit the wreck using it as there new hideout.
The adventure takes the players to the RDF outpost where it is raided by the
Zentraedi in what appears to be a planned attack. After the attack, the players are
sent out to find the Zentraedi. Several reports indicate that there has been a
concentrated effort by them in the surrounding area. They soon receive a distress call
which appears to be scrambled. After making out bits and pieces, they find out that
a Veritech search group is under attack by a massive Zentraedi force. As they journey
south over what once was the Salton Sea, they see the smoke and come to the rescue of
Lt. Apollo Creed. From there, the adventure leads them to the source of the attack which is the down
Zentraedi Cruiser.

History - New Coachella is founded on what was once the Coachella/Indio
border in Southern California. What was once a desert vacation spot now literally is a desert.
An outpost was built in the area as the wastelands began to be infested
with Zentraedi. Small villages have spurred in the mountain regions in what
was once the Coachella Valley, plus the outpost puts the RDF in a good
foothold in the region and keeps a safe passage to the Pacific Ocean.
Once the Outpost was operational, a small town grew up around it, and so
a city grew and tried to reclaim it's farming status.
The occassional skirmishes occur now and then in the desert, especially
those that challange the supply routes to and through the town. It is the
job of the RDF to maintain the current position. It is also rumored that
the RDF will soon convert the outpost into a bigger base, to serve as
a training facility. Construction is to begin within the next 6 months.
Adventure - You have been placed on assignment at RDF Outpost New Coachella. Part
of your duty is to see that shipments get through to the outpost while the
rest consist of normal patroling the area. (Game Masters are encouraged
to add whatever they feel, in order keep the continuity of the game going.
Generation tables would work great or use what fits best.)
