The Border Collie is one of the most intelligent breeds of dog around, being used in a variety of jobs for the Security professions and Assistance fields, as well as obedience, agility, working trials, flyball, breed showing, not to mention its traditional role of sheepdog "par excellence". So far, the Border Collie has not been exclusively "show bred" to the detriment of its working ability. | |||||||||||||||||||

Santramore Classic Touch Grace is growing up very nicely, and is showing all the promise that I hoped for. Her Agility training is coming along very well, and if I can get it right, Grace should go far!! Her Flyball training is progressing and she will hopefully be making her flyball debut with my new team "The Swifts" at the end of May. Grace is a Grand-daughter of INT.SUP.CH. Spot 161819, a top trialling sheepdog, and is a combination of top New Zealand and English lines. On 31st May, Grace attended her first show and came 3rd in a class of about 20 puppies! On Sunday June 7th at her second show, Grace was awarded Best Puppy In Show!! She is making her mark. Since then, Grace has attended a few more shows, and has been placed every time. On Saturday 10th April, Grace was awarded her first BEST IN BREED beating 14 other Border Collies. I was very pleased with this result. On the following Sunday, we all went to a flyball training day, where Grace proved that she is ready to begin competing. It is hoped to mate Tig to Grace in 1999 and the pups should be suitable for Breed, Obedience, Agility and Flyball. Hopefully Grace carries the BLUE gene and I am hoping for a BLUE-TRI!!!
