of an app has everything. It's your one stop shop for image
editing, preparing images for the web, special FX (and
it has tons of them) and more. The folks at SPG are constantly
improving Colorworks with online updates which make it very easy
to upgrade. Also, they have Web Tools and Filter Tools which
load all those Photoshop compatible filters on the fly without
having to restart Photoshop. Filter Tools acts like a Plugin
that loads other plugins of your choice.

a full-featured 32-bit Windows graphics program

Armin Mueller
Software Engineering has Spiralizer and Elefont
freeware programs. Spiralizer generates sea shell type spirals
(with variations) and Elefont generates 3D text
from TTF type fonts. Both export in DXF format.
ShoeString's
PictureDicerTM for
Windows is a Freeware tool that chops
any image file into several smaller images, suitable for creating
mouseover effects and pseudo-imagemaps on Web pages. It also generates
the HTML for a table to contain the partial images and display
them so they appear as the original uncut image.

to generate height fields. It will save in several file formats,
