Agincourt
By Loose Rein.
On Sunday, May 6, seven riders and five car loads of followers all met at Agincourt. It was good to have Tess and Margo out riding with us after both having a break to add to their families.
A big welcome back to our President Rodger riding Red for his first hunt for the season. Once Red got used to not being in front of the field he settled down nicely and Rodger was later seen eating burger rings while riding over the jumps.
Denny retired before our first stirrup cup after Magic Man said the stones on the ground were too hard on his bare feet.
Tess was next to retire, we're not sure if Chips had had enough for his first hunt or Tess had had enough.
At our next stirrup cup our Master Richard toasted the Dennis families and thanked them for the use of their scenic property. Without landowners we couldn't have a hunt.
After a long break the Master finally decided we wouldn't stay in the paddock drinking port and beer all day. Even though it was a great place to be on a sunny Sunday.
The remaining five riders enjoyed the rest of the hunt and it was good to see them all going so smoothly over the jumps. Back at the shed we all enjoyed Rosie's soup and a cuppa.
Nicky had a few fines for us, just so we didn't miss David too much. Karen gave the crooked horse shoe to Tess for dragging Chips out of retirement after two years. Over 50's club was won by Denny.
We all enjoyed our day and will be at Bell Manor for 11 am start followed by a BBQ lunch on May 20. Why not join us there? It's great fun.
