SOUTH AUSTRALIA-------By Jeremy Gryst
WINTER LINES
Wretched north-easterly winds blowing virtually 24-7 have made quality sessions very friggen hard to find. The West Coast was the only place to crack, with Simon Pakula, Tom Wilson, Matt Britten-Jones and Luke "Ebs" Eblen down there to sample some of the action. According to the crew, Shane Bullen and Calder Woodgate were on an underground mission, shredding the place to scraps. Despite the lack of banks in the Port Elliot region, Tristan Kerr and Eddie Wright were pushing the hard along with young-guns Phil Doak and Evan Baily. Ardrossan boys Matt Hazel, Steven Hastings and Rob Moreland were also ripping some of the State's more remote spots.
FRESH FLICK
Romour has it a new video is in the works? Avid cameraman Luke "Ebs" Eblen has just invested in some video and computer editing equipment to produce an exclusive South Oz lid vid. Ebs and a few mates are still on the hunt for some fresh footage. If you have any ideas or footage that you want seen by the masses, give Ebs a buzz on 0408 815 055.
SPICE GIRLS
Adding some spice to the local water, Larissa Ross, Simone Sexton and the mid-coast charger Anna Mauri have been tearing it up as the State's female bodyboard population. Ross and Sexton have been roaming the Yorkes district of late, so keep a watchful eye.
SPONSOR STUFF
Brad Halstead just hooked up a rep job with Fangz and BSD after the big BSD sponsorship. Up and comer Simon Pakula is sitting good thanks to a secure sponsorship with Manta and should be lapping up the perks of an Indonesian full moon as you read this.
HEALED
After breaking his leg in three places, Rob Williams is able to return for some late-winter tubes. Yhe coragous, yet reckless, plunge off the Knights Rocks rendered him with an impressive five pins and a metal plate.
AMUSING ANECDOTES
Nik Saunders was unfortunate enough to be chased with a knife by some enraged terrirorial locals out west to the gasping shock of some roaming bodyboarders.
Luke Eblen celebrated his 19th birthday with a box full of explicit reading material.
And lastly, a whopping 10-foot bronze whaler was captured a mere five metres offshore by local salmon fishermen.
