Hugh Morrus at Raw, Scott Hall Not Returning, Kid Nash, more
Written by Robert Fransecky on June 12, 2001
-While there have been considerable talks between Scott Hall and the WWF about him being a part of the new WCW. However, due to a variety of reasons, it doesn't look as if Scott Hall will be part of WCW at this point. He was described as having a cocky attitude in negotiations with WWF officials. It is being suggested that Hall is being influenced by Kevin Nash, who's WCW contract runs out in January 2002, to wait so they can enter either the WWF or WCW together, feeling they are more valuable as a team than separately.
-Despite not having a role onscreen with the injury to HHH, Stephanie McMahon is still a major force behind the scenes with the WWF. She has not missed a WWF TV taping since HHH's injury, and still has a lot of power in the booking/creative meetings.
-Hugh Morrus, who ran in on Raw last week, was said to be very impressed with the professionalism backstage at the WWF. He was taken aback at how well he was treated by the other wrestlers. Obviously nervous, Morrus executed his moonsault sloppily, and Edge was seen with some bruises after the show as a result.
-Scott Hall and Chris Candido will be heading to Japan for a month long 'tour' with the New Japan Pro Wrestling promotion. New Japan Pro Wrestling's next tour, titled "Summer Struggle 2001" will run from 6/22 to 7/16, culminating with the live Dome Quake PPV on 7/20 from the Sapporo Dome.
-The Rock graces the cover of the July edition of Ebony, which just hit newsstands. Inside, a feature on the "Great One" discusses his family, his biracial heritage, and the difference between The Rock and Dwayne Johnson. For more on the People's Champion, check it out.
-"The Smack", the official Kid Nash column will air this week, Thurs June 14th 3pm-4pm est., we have an interview with former ECW/WCW star David "Kid" Kash. He is excited about doing this interview, and it should prove to be a good one. For more information on "The Smack", please Click Here.
