Supreme Pro Wrestling Goes Extreme!
The staff of WrestleDigest.com was in attendance at the Supreme Pro Wrestling show at the Colonial Theater in Sacramento California. The show featured some of the best up and coming wrestling stars in California. The show stared out with a tag team match up featuring two teams from the new Coastal Pro Wrestling out of Reno. This show also featured a title unification match between SPW Champion, Mike Matrixxx and NAW Champion, Dr. Luther. Matrixxx was fortunate enough to walk away with both titles. However his celebration may be short lived seeing as how he will have to face Dr. Luther again Saturday in Merced California.

What could have been a main event on any card was overshadowed by NORCAL’s first ever JAPANESE DEATH MATCH. This final match up of the night featured Elite members, The Big Ugly and Dante. They were set to battle The Hit Squad, Bulldog Raymond and The Mentor of Pain Clint Douglass. Because of the heat between these two teams SPW felt it was necessary to issue a warning to parents about allowing their children to witness this carnage.

This was a classic Death Match. It featured a ring wrapped in barbwire, tacks, and even fluorescent light bulbs. There were numerous other items of destruction around the ring as well. Dante had a bat that was wrapped in barbwire while the Big Ugly had his ugly stick wrapped with barbwire. Bulldog even found a football helmet with barbwire attached to it.

All four combatants put it all on the line in this classic match. At one point Big Ugly was stuck in the corner and had a steel chair wrapped in barbwire placed in front of his face. As he hung there defenseless and upside down, Bulldog dropped kicked the chair into Ugly’s face. This caused a steady blood flow down Big Ugly’s face. In turn Ugly planted and rubbed Bulldogs face into the barbwire end of his infamous Ugly Stick, turning Bulldog’s face into the proverbial “Crimson Mask”. As the match went on Dante and Clint worked on each other with any object they could find. Dante had the blood flowing down his face as the barbwire sliced into Douglass’s back and shoulders. As the match wore on Ugly placed two tables outside the ring and covered them with a piece of plywood that had barbwire attached to it. Then in one of the biggest spots of the night, Ugly superplexed Bulldog off the ropes and out of the ring through the tables. The crowd was stunned and awe struck.

After shaking off the effects of the superplex Bulldog went to work on Dante. He drove him face first into a pile of thumbtacks. At one point he even fed some to a stunned Dante. Dante was not going to be bested however. He made sure that his wrath was felt in this match. In typical Dante fashion he threw all caution to the wind. However this night belonged to Bulldog Raymond. In what would be the nail in the coffin, Bulldog super power bombed Dante off the top rope and into the thumbtacks. This move stunned Dante enough for Bulldog to get the three count.

This was a brutal and violent match from beginning to end. All four men put it all out there and none of them left this match unscarred. I guess the only question remaining is: did this settle any scores or just ad fuel to the fire? Only time can heal the wounds and only time will tell the answer.
