Royal Rumble Preview
This years Rumble looks set to be one of the biggest and best of all time. The matches set all have the possibilty to steal the show.
The actual Rumble match itself should be explosive with the vast array of superstars capable of winning it. My personal tip has got to be The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin as at least one of these superstars will definitely be in the main event at Wrestlemania in my view. These two could possibly joint win the Rumble, but outside bets include the phenom himself, The Undertaker, the big red machine, Kane, the original fat ass, Rikishi, and Billy Gunn could be capable of a suprise too.
The main event itself, Kurt Angle Vs Triple H looks set to be an explosive match and with all the factors involved could be a highlight of the year already. There is the fact of Trish and Stephanie, there is Triple H aiming to become a record equaling 5 time WWF champion, there is possibly still Angle/Steph tension, plus there could be outside interference from possibly Vince, Austin, or maybe another McMahon such as Shane.
I think that Triple H will win this one and go on to face Austin at Wrestlemania for the strap. This should keep there current feud ongoing.
The match that I am most looking forward to is the Intercontinental Ladder match between Y2J and Chris Benoit. Benoit is a great athlete but I think that Y2J will come out on top in this one as he will be best addapted to the ladder with his high flying ability. These 2 have had some great matches over the last year and this one shouldn't be any different.
The Dudley Boyz go face-to-face with current Tag Team champs, Edge and Christian. I would like to see an Edge and Christian win in this one as I don't really rate the Dudley Boys, but I have a feeling the Dudleys will steal one and walk out as champs.
A match rumoured to take place is William Regal defending his European title against Test. If this goes down then I think that Test will walk out as the new champ as he is due a push and the WWF are also planning to give Regal a further push after being impressed with him. Regal could possibly drop the belt in order to move up to Intercontinental status after the WWF were really impressed with his recent feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Another match is Ivory defending her Womens title against Chyna. Chyna should win this one, but I can't see the point in dropping her down from Intercontinental status to the Womens division.
All in all, this could be a fabulous PPV, and who knows, maybe my predictions will come true.
