Odessa wrestler wins third national girls title

Odessa wrestler Tonya Evinger recently became a three-time national champion after a victory at the Girls High School National Wrestling Tournament in Lake Orion, Mich.
Evinger will compete April 19-24 at the Women's U.S. Nationals in Las Vegas and then will participate in the Women's World Team Trials in Battle Creek, Mich. She was a member of the 1999 U.S. women's national team and competed in numerous tournaments in the United States and an event in France.
