Women*s Wrestler of the Week: Tina George-Wilson, Colorado Springs, Colo. (Sunkist Kids)
George-Wilson won the 123.25-pound title and was named Outstanding Wrestler at the Women*s University National Championships, held in Evanston, Ill., April 9. George-Wilson defeated Carrie Birge of the Viking WC in the championship finals by a 13-3 technical fall. She also stopped Malissa Sherwood of the Dave Schultz WC in the in the semifinals, 8-6. George-Wilson avenged losses to both Birge and Sherwood at the Dave Schultz Memorial International in February.
