High School Notebook:
GHS wrestler pins the boys
By KEITH NIEBUHR
Sun sports writer, February 18, 1999
CNN was in town last Friday for a feature story on Gainesville wrestler
Miriam Jenkins, who
not only competes against the boys but regularly beats them. No word on when
the story will
air, but we'll keep you posted.
Jenkins, who competes in the 103-pound weight class, captured her second
consecutive district
title and improved to 26-8 on the year. Her win was key as GHS won the Class
5A-District 3
title for the second consecutive season.
