If you know in advance that you will be absent for a game, please leave a message on the bulletin board (preferably) or email Pawlik if you only have Netscape (Netscape doesn't support our bulletin board). The regular method of telling Pawlik in person gives him ample opportunity to forget. Pawlik is none too bright.
Last season, all three teams swept their Opening Day matchups for the best starts in franchise history. Prior to last season, we have a really bad history of opening day debacles. The key to our success this year is attendance. Please get your happy ass to the field to prevent a debacle.

Thursday Summer 1998 Lost to Vipers by 1. Should have cost us the league.
St. Peters Fall 1997. Lost to Creampuffs by 2 in the rain and cost us the league. Game was notable by pitcher Renieri's overthrow of Klicker at 3rd (hey, it was slick). Brakensiek also got bowled over at catcher in the worst non-call in team history.
Tuesday Fall 1998 Lost to Eagles by 4. Cost us league. Spielvogel called from Nashville 1/2 hour before game, saying he thinks he'll be late. Late? Only if he parachuted in.
Fall 1994 vs. Wainwrights Angels. 10 of their 12 guys homer at least once. Welcome to Triangle.
