Brandon Wheat Kings
Big guy who doesn't fight but he does get under opposing players
skin with his stick work and yapping. Likes to try and give it to opponents
in scrums, but is at his best with jabs from both his stick and mouth.
Jordin "Smurf" Tootoo...RW...5'9"...182 lbs...02/02/83
Agitates solely with his big hits and nonstop style. This guy is
in your face from the drop of the puck until the final whistle. What makes
him a great agitator is the fact his toughness lets him get a way with
some things other little guys can't cause this guy can fight as well.
Moose Jaw Warriors
Steven "Get even" Crampton...RW...6'2"...202 lbs...04/12/82
Can fight but might be better as an agitator. Big hitter and constant
yapper, this guy often has other players trying to seek retribution for
a bit of Steve's stick work or verbal taunts. All around decent player
gets enough ice time to really be good at his role as well.
Shawn "Limp left" Limpright...LW...5'11"...185lbs...07/06/81
Likes to throw the open ice hit when guys are cutting across the
middle and that type of play will always get you enemies, but don't think
this guy will hit and run because he's willing to debate it with you and
even drop the gloves if you don't get the message. Often checks the oppositions
top line and he plays like the tazmanian devil on a bad hair day.
Prince Albert Raiders
This guy should wear a black robe and
carry a scythe, he's lethal, but isn't afraid to back up his crackhead
type play with a scrap. Often takes a few penalties he wishes he hadn't,
but this guy
will hack, whack and slash until the stick company refuses to send him
anymore lumber. Be afraid, very afraid.
Jon "Water" Kress...C...5'11"...177 lbs...11/15/82
Give him a puck and he's pretty good with it, give him a side of
beef and a stick and he'll have it cut and wrapped for you in minutes.
Pesky player who always seems to be in the middle of the action and also
isn't afraid to mix it up.
Kyle "Loose cannon" Bruce...RW...6'0"...181 lbs...03/30/83
Another of the smaller hard hitting guys who always seem to have
somebody pissed off at them. This guy likes to throw big hits and sometimes
they are a little late, however like some of the other agitators who know
there role, doesn't often need anyone to fight his battles.
Pesky, tough and always in the middle of it. An expert at coming
into the scrum late and getting the other team to take the penalty. Another
of the guys who just might get a point on the ensuing powerplay as well.
This guy will be a treat to watch get under the skin of the opposition
in the Memorial Cup.
Ryan "Hammerhead" Thomas...C...5'9"...190 lbs...04/12/81
Always has something to say and likes to throw his short but solid
frame around. Not a real stickman, but his knack for throwing good checks,
working hard on the forecheck and constant yapping often gets the other
teams better players of their game. Likes to scrap if need be as well.
Willing scrapper, but a better role on a toughness challenged Blade's
team would have been agitator as this guy seems to piss off just about
every guy he lines up against. Another guy who sometimes comes a little
late with his hits and is prone to having his stick up in your eyes, Derek
is well known for driving other players to distraction.
Tough little lightweight who doesn't mind fighting but is better
at running around causing mayhem and yapping at the opposition. If Ken
Linesman has been reincarnated this is him, as Hiebert is great at getting
the opposition to forget about their jobs and focusing on him.
Ben "T on destruction" Ondrus...RW...6'0"...185 lbs...06/25/82
Almost a clone of his teammate Hiebert, these guys should be called
the Blues Brothers as they often have the other team crying the blues.
Small robust guy who likes to take runs at opponents no matter the size
and then talk about the hit afterward. These two little guys could be key
to any run the Broncos make toward a Memorial Cup berth.
