David "Not Goliath" Kaczowka

LW
Height...6'2"
Weight...220lbs
Birthdate...07/05/81

The Kazmanian devil has been at it again in the east and holds the top spot. Solid opponents in December included Ponte, Sommerfeld twice, Degenstein, Chubb and a couple of others. Kaz doesn't pick his spots and word is the Pat's would like to see Kaz pick his spots more often. Often takes a roughing minor or other penalty along with his fighting majors and puts his team down a man. Tough guy who needs to realize he can be more effective when picking his spots and can also help his team out by being more selective as he has nothing left to prove when the gloves come off.

Grant "The Ant" McNeill

Defence
Height...6'2"
Weight...196lbs
Birthdate...06/08/83

Six fights against solid opposition get Grant the move from four to two this month. Heavy punching youngster is making a name for himself and has had a number of slugfests with Colton Orr, Eric Bowen, Jeff Feniak, Dion Lassu and Ryan Jorde among the six. At seventeen years old this kid is going to be a force for the remainder of this year and years to come. If you like to watch the fur fly and you get a chance to watch this kid, take advantage of it cause he don't dance or seat belt it, he just plain old chucks 'em.

Randy "You lookin' at me?" Ponte

LW
Height...5'11"
Weight...202lbs
Birthdate...03/27/81

Randy dropped the leather four times last month, taking on Kaz, Hubbauer, Murray and Makway. Randy isn't taking on the quality of opponents lately or fighting as often and he'll need to scrap more often to stay where he is next month. Just looking tough doesn't keep you in the top five tough guys.

Matt "I ain't no day at the beach" Sommerfeld

LW
Height...6'2"
Weight...203lbs
Birthdate...04/26/82

Matt had a light month in the fistic department however he did take on some tough guys in Kaz twice, Jon Mirasty and Coulter of the Blades. Big tough kid had better make hay this season as his limited skills and age will work against him returning next year. I expected more out of Matt with the departure of his tag team partner, Colton Orr to the Blazers.

Deryk "I say old chap" Engelland

Defence
Height...6'3"
Weight...210lbs
Birthdate...04/03/82

Some may wonder why he jumps into the top ten at number six and immediately jumps up a notch to number five. Simple, he's stepped it up a notch and  two slugfests with two of the west divisions toughest were most impressive. Always have liked this tough defenceman's fighting abilities, but would like to see him doff the mitts on a more regular basis as he is a good one. Stands back and chucks 'em.

Dean "That's King, not queen" Serdachny

Defence
Height...6'2"
Weight...214lbs
Birthdate...01/17/80

Three fights for Dean this past month get him the number six spot in the east. Doesn't fight a lot but consistently gets into his three fights a month and does well. Relied upon by the Broncos to play a lot, Dean can't afford to scrap often, however he does just fine when he does.

Jeff "Shy coaltrain" Coulter

LW
Height...6'0"
Weight...198lbs
Birthdate...01/02/82

Tough young guy who doesn't get a  lot of ice time but did find the time to take on Chad  Grisdale, Dean Serdachny and Matt Sommerfeld in December. Another of the guys who likes to lead with his face, this guy is usually an exciting guy to watch when he goes.

Garth "Please don't call me Anne" Murray

Centre
Height...6'2"
Weight...205lbs
Birthdate...09/17/82

Garth moves up a couple of spots from ten to eight this month with another workmanlike month of three fights. His dance card included Nolan Yonkman, Dean Serdachny and Randy Ponte. This guy will be counted upon by the Pats come Memorial Cup time as a grinding winger who will need to check the other teams top line and drop the gloves should the need arise. He's agitating as he is tough.

Ryan "Hammerhead" Thomas

Centre
Height...6'0"
Weight...195lbs
Birthdate...04/12/81

Murray and this guy are the Abbott and Costello of the eastern conference, often playing together and causing havoc. Both guys can toss the leather and play the game at a decent level, which will come in handy come M-Cup time.

Kyle "Loose cannon" Bruce

RW
Height...6'0"
Weight...181lbs
Birthdate...03/30/83

"Little buzz" saw three opponents last month and like the energizer bunny he keeps on going. Agitating and tough, this guy likes to throw 'em with his body and fists. We'll see more of this seventeen year old in the years to come.
