David "Not Goliath" Kaczowka LW Height...6'2" Weight...220lbs Birthdate...07/05/81

Kazcowka keeps the number one ranking with another huge month of eight fights and dropping the gloves with the toughest guys. Opponents were O'Connor, Gomez, Vandermeer, Yonkman, McNeill, Halldorson, Balan and Schefflemaier, no light touches here. It should be exciting to see the wild man dropping the gloves at the Memorial Cup and trying the "Q" and "O" tough guys on for size. All or nothing fighter who likes to throw bombs should be geared up for the stretch and ready to try and hold the title from gate to wire in the east.
 

Grant "The Ant" McNeill Defence Height...6'2" Weight...196lbs Birthdate...06/08/83

A very slow month for Grant by his standards with only two fights, but they were with two very tough guys in Kaz and Ponte. Could be hurt or trying to play more with the low fight totals, but don't worry this guy is tough and will be heard from for a few years to come. Another of the stand back and wing 'em brigade from the east.
 

Randy "You lookin' at me?" Ponte LW Height...5'11" Weight...202lbs Birthdate...03/27/81

As usual he starts the season slow and finishes with a bang. Eight fights, two with Sommerfeld and singles with O'Connor, Coulter, McNeill, Engelland, Olynyk and Feniak, all pretty tough opponents. Randy is in a tough spot in Brandon as the only really willing fighter every night and he does a great job for a guy fighting heavyweights with a middleweight build.
 

Matt "I ain't no day at the beach" Sommerfeld LW Height...6'2" Weight...203lbs Birthdate...04/26/82

Big Matt had a six fight month with two against Ponte, one with Coulter, two with Kanigan and a single with Stowards. For a guy who gets limited ice time and has battled injuries, it was a pretty good month for the only true heavyweight on a highly skilled Broncos club.
 

Deryk "I say old chap" Engelland Defence Height...6'3" Weight...210lbs Birthdate...04/03/82

Only two fights for Engelland last month, one against Tootoo and one against Ponte, but no one will argue this guy's toughness and willingness to stand back and chuck 'em. Big defenceman who can also play a regular shift is an underated tough guy  in my opinion.
 

Dean "That's King, not queen" Serdachny Defence Height...6'2" Weight...214lbs Birthdate...01/17/80

Valuable defenceman for the Broncos who takes on the role of a heavyweight well, but he's needed for both penalty killing and powerplay time so doesn't rack up the fight totals of his teammate Sommerfeld, but make no mistake, Dean can toss 'em with either hand and isn't a guy others want to fight too often.
 

Jeff "Shy coaltrain" Coulter LW Height...6'0" Weight...198lbs Birthdate...01/02/82

After some slow months the Saskatoon scrapper picked six fights last month against Morrow (MH), Ponte, Austring, Sommerfeld, Grisdale and Gomez. Not a big guy, but he's willing to trade punches with most and makes out just fine.
 

Sean "4 leaf clover" O'Connor RW Height...6'3" Weight...203lbs Birthdate...10/19/81

Big, tough winger from Moose Jaw had three fights last month against Kaz, Ponte and Olynyk. Some accuse this guy of picking his spots, however he plays a regular shift and is needed by Moose Jaw on offense as well as in the sin bin which will affect if and when he fights, though I must admit I'd like to see him a little busier with some of the tougher guys.
 

Justin "Kan and he" Kanigan LW Height...6'5" Weight...225lbs Birthdate...01/04/83

Big, young kid picked it up last month and enters the top ten for the first time with four fights including White and two against Sommerfeld. Once he gains some experience  and gains some confidence we should see more from the young guy.
 

Chad "Wally World" Grisdale D Height...6'2" Weight...205lbs Birthdate...04/04/81

Former Cougar and Winterhawk had two fights last month...Kyle Bruce and Jeff Coulter. Not fighting as much as he did in the west division, although he plays on a Pat club with some depth in that area and likely has little left to choose from after some of the others get their shots in. Still, a tough, stay at home defenceman who can hold his own.
