Colton "Don't call me Bobby" Orr

RW
Height...6'2"
Weight...210lbs
Birthdate...03/03/82

There's a new sheriff in town and he isn't named Bobby. Colton has earned his stripes in the west division and until someone wants to come and take the title from him, it could be his for a while. This guy hasn't had a fight that isn't a slugfest and with long, close wars with some very tough hombres, Colton should have some challengers looking to dethrone him in the new year. Six fights including a win over Schefflemaier, Stefishen, Voth and two wars with Engelland and McNeil that could be called either way plus a scrap with David Boychuk, nobody came close to matching Orr's record last month. Other fighters in the division better be ready when the gloves come off with this guy because he stands back and throws bombs from start to finish.

Dion "The mad roper" Lassu

Defence
Height...6'2"
Weight...205lbs
Birthdate...02/19/80

Big, tough defenceman had three fights with very tough opponents in McNeil, Lee and David Boychuk. Dion is very strong and a hard puncher, with a fight between himself and Orr being a must on everyones Christmas wish list. Dion could well be a guy to put his stamp on the division as the playoffs near.

Mike "Wild Man" Lee

RW
Height...6'0"
Weight...230lbs
Birthdate...05/22/80

Mike comes back to where he should be in the top ten with a more credible month and three fights against Jon Mirasty, Lassu and Sauer. All three guys are either big or accomplished fighters and look good on any guys resume, however a great fight could be Lee vs. Orr as Lee is likely the hardest puncher in the division and Orr has a chin of granite and also hits pretty hard. This would be THE fight if it happens as Lee would get a chance to throw his patented bombs and as usual, Orr would take a few, but not without giving some as well.

David "How much knuckle can a" Boychuk

Defence
Height...6'4"
Weight...225lbs
07/16/81

Moves up from five to four with three fights against solid competition in Lassu, Orr and Boogaard. The inconsistent scrapper needs more multi fight months to have a chance to compete with the top three down the stretch, as Lee, Lassu and Orr will undoubtedly turn up the heat as the season winds down. Big guy who can overwhelm opponents needs to fight on a more consistent basis to help his team.

Derek "Boogey Man" Boogaard

LW
Height...6'7"
Weight...250lbs
Birthdate...06/23/82

Five fights in December,  however Derek isn't the most exciting fighter to come down the pipe, thus his drop from second to fifth. Derek is also the least talented of the top five and his lack off ice time affects his ranking as he'd probably be scrapping more with increased ice time. Fights with Engelland, Schefflemaier, Boychuk, Olynik and Wallin are a decent dance card, however with his huge frame and weight, Boogie should be overwhelming guys and he isn't.

Ryan "Yawannago" Jorde

Defence
Height...6'3"
Weight...210lbs
Birthdate...03/23/82

Four fights sees Ryan keep up the pace he's had all year. Solid opposition in McLachlan, McNeill, McAvoy and Bowen.  Jorde doesn't pick his spots, however he doesn't win very often either. Huge heart and a ton of jam from this guy deserve a ton of admiration as his job is a tough one and he goes to war every night.

Eric "Roller hockey" Bowen

RW
Height...6'2"
Weight...225lbs
Birthdate...10/31/81

A lacklustre month with only two fights sees Eric drop from three to seven, though his two ooponents were tough in McNeill and Jorde. On a team not blessed with toughness, two fights is almost embarassing for this big tough kid who seems to be steering away from the fistic endeavours which will be his calling card if he intends to further hisd hockey carreer past the "dub".

Darren "I'm no Sarah" McLachlan

LW
Height...6'2"
Weight...223lbs
Birthdate...02/16/83

One fight with Ryan Jorde before a serious back injury sees him drop from one to eight. The drop has nothing to do with his toughness, but the fact his back injury is apparently serious and he could be out for a while. This seventeen year old is a tough kid and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Paul "I need a nickname" Guastad

C
Height...6'4"
Weight...200lbs
Birthdate...02/03/82

Tough kid from Portland seems to be picking up the slack for teammate Bowen. Big, lanky guy isn't a great fighter, but he shows up each night and plays hard. His four fights in December were with Gionet, Koci, McAvoy amd Lowe. This guy is a gamer and is leading Portland right now in the toughness department.

Aaron "Monsieur monster" Gionet

Defence
Height...6'2"
Weight...203lbs
Birthdate...06/28/82

Last seasons west division PIM leader is back in the top ten with three fights....Hope, Gaustad and Mitchell of Moose Jaw. Not the best fighter in the division, Gio doesn't back down from anyone and hacks and slashes with the best in the league every night which gets him respect in the top ten.
