Colton "Don't call me Bobby" Orr

RW
Height...6'2"
Weight...210lbs
Birthdate...03/03/82

Hangs onto the top spot in the west which will ruffle some feathers but the reasoning behind it is, he stays busy, hasn't been beaten and plays his role perfectly. Five fights last month against Boogaard, Serdachny, Jorde and two with Boychuk. Some complain he won't fight Jon Mirasty and that he's afraid of him, however if you take Colton's word,  he isn't going to fight just to satisfy Jon Mirasty and until Mirasty takes liberties with his teammates or himself, it likely won't happen. Takes a punch, has endurance and he can go toe to toe with anybody.

Derek "Boogey Man" Boogaard

LW
Height...6'7"
Weight...250lbs
Birthdate...06/23/82

Rated toughest in the west in the Tri-City Herald best of the west poll and his remarks quoted in the Kamloops Daily news stating  "no one is tougher than him and that they got it right" puts a big bulls eye on your chest. Derek doesn't seem to mind it, however if your going to make bold statements about yourself, you've got to back it up. Seven fights for Derek include a loss to Orr, a loss to Mirasty, a draw with both Scheff and Fehr which were more "WWF" than fights and bouts with Lee, McLeod and Voth don't back it up. This kid is big, mean and tough, but could do with losing the theatrics and sticking to what he does best, which is hit, intimidate and drop the gloves, the rest will take care of itself. Undoubtedly tough, but I'd rather see it with his role on the ice than hear about it from him.

Adam "Not madam, or madman" Stefishan

LW
Height...6'0"
Weight...200lbs
Birthdate...06/07/82

Moves way up from the eight spot to number three spot with an eight fight month and some stiff competition for a middleweight in the heavyweight division. Fights included some big tough boys, Mirasty, Lassu, Ondrus, Bowen, Sinclair, Fehr, Scheff and Johnson. It's amazing he could even reach some of these giants he fought, but this guy is super tough and fights like a junk yard dog. Likes to stand back and toss 'em, and enters every fight like it's going to be his last.

Ryan "Yawannago" Jorde

Defence
Height...6'3"
Weight...210lbs
Birthdate...03/23/82

This guy impressed me with a war against Orr from Kamloops which he lost near the end as he got twisted out of position and took punishment without being able to fire back, but it was a war. Big hard hitting left hander is a much better fighter than I'd seen before and  had been related to me by a few scouts. This guy is only eighteen and he will undoubtedly be making some noise in the division  this and next year.

Jon "Nasty" Mirasty

LW
Height...5'9"
Weight...190lbs
Birthdate...04/06/82

Big balls and mega tough are fitting descriptions of this small guy playing a big man's game. At only a generous listing of 5'9" and 188lbs, this guy has fought everybody and anybody while winning more than his share. Just ask Derek Boogaard. At only seventeen Jon should have a few more years of rumbling left and he's a guy to be leery of with his boxing background and willingness to go. Fights included Boogaard, Stefishen, Grant and Gomez last month.

Jordan "We finally got a picture" Clarke

LW
Height...6'2"
Weight...204lbs
Birthdate...01/27/82

Hits like a hammer and must like the jump in ice time he's gotten since arriving from P.A. Fights with McAvoy, Sloan and Makway, with the Sloan fight being a TKO for Clarke. Another eighteen year old that will make the west division much tougher for the next few years than it has been for the past couple.

Dion "The mad roper" Lassu

Defence
Height...6'2"
Weight...205lbs
Birthdate...02/19/80

Tougher than his number seven ranking, but he isn't fighting much as he is needed to play a ton on a struggling thunderbird hockey club. Stefishen and Moen entered the ring with Dion and had all they could handle with the rugged rearguard.

Greg "I'm actually white,not" Black

C
Height...6'1"
Weight...180lbs
05/13//82

Greatly underestimated in the toughness category and not a consistent scrapper, Greg enters the top ten witha three fight month.  Greg's dance card included Gaustad, Foster and Francon, not bad for a heavyweight in middleweights body. Hard puncher and smart fighter, this guy can hurt anyone who takes him lightly.

Dan "Featherweight" Baum

C
Height...6'0"
Weight...165lbs
Birthdate...06/04/83

Seventeen year's old and not much heavier than his equipment bag this kid can not only play, but he's tough as nails and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. Grinds it out on the wall and hits hard, this guy is going to be heard from in the top ten for years to come as well as on the score sheet. The Cougs have a premier power forward in the making.

Andy "I wanna be a heavyweight" McAvoy

RW
Height...6'0"
Weight...195lbs
Birthdate...02/01/81

Another Seattle heavyweight in a middleweights body, Keegan moves back into the top ten with fights against Clarke, Fetzner and Wanvig last month. Gritty, hard working Seattle forward takes no backward steps and is more than willing to back up anything he does or says with a good scrap.
