Jeff
"Not Brown, Not Jones" Smith - LW, 6'5", 205 lbs, 01/02/81
I haven't been able to get much information or see this
guy go yet, but he definitely has the requisite size to be a fighter in
the WHL. His 5+ fights indicate he has the heart to go as well. Hopefully
we'll get a chance to see this guy in action and I can get the lowdown
on him. Until then, if anyone knows what Jeff brings to the table, drop
us a line at: mailto:yawannago@hotmail.com

Justin
"Case" Ossachuk - LW, 5'10", 180 lbs, 03/14/80
Traded early in the year from Seattle to Lethbridge, Justin
is generally regarded as an agitator but has been dropping the gloves and
getting busy as a Hurricane. Not very tall, the stocky Ossachuk often looks
very similar to the Tasmanian Devil when he fights. He doesn't win as many
as he'd like, but he definitely makes other players keep their heads up
when he around. Justin isn't a top 10 fighter, but he is willing to show
up and deserves respect for his willingness.

Brad
"The Sloth" Voth - RW, 6'5", 235 lbs, 02/25/80
NHL rights: St. Louis Blues
Brad needs to improve his skating to become more of a
force in the heavyweight division as he is pretty much a one dimensional
player. Most other tough guys who can play don't bother fighting Brad because
it is a bad trade-off due to his limited skills. Brad is often prone to
taking bad penalties that cost his team. He also breaks the "golden rule"
of tough guys by often cheapshotting opponents who aren't known for their
fighting talents. This costs him respect in the fighting game. Brad needs
to step to the plate and take on the legitimate heavies to start earning
the respect he seems capable of getting.
"Konrad "Von" Brand - D, 6'4", 231 lbs, 07/14/79
NHL rights: Los Angeles Kings
Big, tough
overage defenceman hasn't been dropping the gloves therefore finds himself
on the outside looking in, mind you there isn't much shame in that playing
in the ultra tough central division. Konrad just needs to start making
more of a statement in his games to move back to the top ten.

Matt
"Me And My Able" Walker - D,
6'3", 215lbs, 04/07/80
NHL
rights: St. Louis Blues
Matt is more of an honest hockey
player than Rossiter and Beckett, but also has the scouts and NHL teams
asking why he doesn't use his physical presence more. Matt had a good scrap
recently with Derek Boogaard of Prince George, winning by most accounts,
but needs to drop 'em more often with other tough guys to move into the
top ten any time soon.
Stacey
"God I hate that Name" Bublitz - LW, 6'2", 215 lbs, 07/18/80
This guy has only played in a handful
of games but has gone to battle with # 1 ranked Eric Goddard twice so far
in his short career, doing well in both fights I might add! Hurt his hand
in the second bout, but hopefully it will be healed soon and we'll see
this guy continue to scrap some of the leagues other heavyweights.
Chris "Don't be calling me Jenny Craig" Chubb - D, 6'2", 200 lbs, 8/21/80
NHL rights: Edmonton Oilers
#8. Chris hasn't been fighting much since leaving Gavin McLeod laying on the ice like a bottle of Heinz ketchup thats sprung a leak in pre season, but he has picked it up lately and making his presence felt. More of a brawler, Chris was needed by the Ice in the very tough Central Division as insurance for an overworked Graham Belak. With the playoffs and trade deadline approaching, the real season will be starting soon and with the intensity picking up, we fully expect Chris to become a more frequent scrapper.
