Brandon Wheat Kings:

Jordin "Smurf" Tootoo - RW, 5'9", 180 lbs,  02/02/83

This 16 year old kid plays a lot like a young Wendel Clark. If he gains a few inches he could well turn out to be a near clone, although with a right-handed shot. He doesn't fight the heavyweights, very wise because of his size; but he doesn't avoid running them, and for that reason he'll need to keep his head up as the older fighters seek retribution for some of the hits he hands out. A "dream fight" in the WHL would be Tootoo and Cuthbert of Kelowna. Both of these little guys are tough as nails and back down from no one, however Jordin would be smart to avoid throwing his body around with reckless abandon as it will begin to catch up with him in injury problems. A more judicious use of his energy and body will help Jordin be more effective rather than running around looking for trouble. In the WHL, it will find you on its own.

 Les "Have a Go" Borsheim -  D,  6'2", 195 lbs,  04/27/79

Due to injuries and a lack of pugilistic activities Les will move to the ten spot and we'll see in the new year if he's willing to get back to dropping the gloves like he was earlier in the year!

Prince Albert Raiders:

"Wiley" Riley Cote - LW, 6'1", 170 lbs,  03/16/82

Because of his gritty, hard working style Riley often ends up dropping the mitts because he "rubs" opposition players the wrong way. Not to be mistaken for a heavyweight, Riley's ability to defend himself and teammates makes him an integral part of the Raiders attack. Most fights end up coming to Riley because of his hard work and relentless checking and Riley is usually willing to accommodate.

#7. Regan "Big Knuckles" Darby -  D , 6'2", 200 lbs, 07/17/80
NHL rights: Vancouver Canucks

My pick as probably the meanest guy in the east division, but for whatever reason the gloves are staying on like their attached to Regans hands with velcro. We all know Regan is mean, however to move back into the rankings, the mitts have to find ice on a regular basis, which hasn't been happening. His lack of scraps cost's Regan big time and for fans of the fight game, let's hope he doff's the gloves more often in March.

Moose Jaw Warriors:

Brian "Stringbean" Sutherby -   , 6'2", 175 lbs, 03/01/82

Brian is another guy who we have little info on, but his fighting majors indicate he goes on a fairly regular basis and is a big part of the reason the Warriors are at the top of the league in fighting majors. As we see more of Brian we'll update his profile.

#9. Sean "Four Leaf Clover" O'Connor -   6'3", 205 lbs, 10/19/81

Sean needs to play tougher and drop the gloves a little more frequently  if he hopes to move back into the top ten next season. Capable, and a very tough customer he just has not very busy in the fight game.

Regina Pats:

Ryan "Hammaerhead" Thomas - D, 6'1", 195 lbs,  04/12/81

Ryan's been battling a bad shoulder this year but still found time to drop the gloves on a regular basis to start the year and still does now when his shoulder isn't too bad. This guy is tough as nails and is much like Garth, willing to go with anybody when he's healthy and a real brawler who isn't interested in putting on a show except when he starts to chuck the knuckles. Like his teammates Jackman and Murray, Ryan isn't physically a heavyweight, but you wouldn't know by his dance card.

 Garth "Don't call me Anne" Murray -  C, 6'1", 195 lbs, 09/17/82

This seventeen year old likes to fight and won't take a backward step from anyone, with many Pats fans feeling this guy is their toughest player pound for pound. Garth is no showboat, but rather a brawler, who when the gloves come off is ready to get at 'er, whether you want to stand back and throw them or try landing uppercuts. This guy is exciting to watch because he just plain likes to fight. Garth's been fighting on a regular basis as usual but took a few losses on the western road trip.

 Saskatoon Blades:

 Swift Current Broncos:

James "Crazy Legs" Hiebert  - RW, 5'10", 170 lbs,  06/05/82

Another of the Ryan Cuthbert and Jordin Tootoo mold, who is small but backs down from no one. A firecracker of a kid, this guy will chuck the knucks with big ones, short ones, skinny ones, fat ones, it just doesn't matter. I just hope for his sake he doesn't end up taking on some one just too tough and end up getting hurt. A real team guy who punches hard, fast and furious, don't take him lightly if your a bigger guy or he'll embarrass you.

"Sir" Lawrence "Of Arabia"  Nycholat - D, 6'0", 192 lbs,  05/07/79

Lawrence is not a devastating fighter by any stretch but as a twenty year old has obviously decided he'll lead by example and has dropped the gloves on a regular basis, having had more than five scraps so far. More of a guy who shows up, then a guy who is going to KO ya', Lawrence is a big reason the Broncos are off to a great start, leading by example in both ends of the rink. Lawrence doesn't really stand back and throw them, he's more likely to throw on the seat belt and only throw punches if a golden opportunity presents itself, but his competitiveness has been an asset to the division leading Broncos.
