Brett "My name's as long as my arms" Schefflemaier

Defence
Height...6'6"
Weight...220lbs
Birthdate...03/31/81

With another slow month in the central division Scheff still holds on to top spot with two fights. Opponents included Grant and Cote, not big names, however Scheff gets fewer and fewer takers these days. Scheff plays a regular shift on the Tigers back end and plays a physical style that punishes opponents in his own end. Big with a long reach Scheff will certainly make some noise if he returns next year as an overage.
Jim "aka Hansen" Vandermeer

Defence
Height...6'1"
Weight...208lbs
Birthdate...02/21/80

Another month when few wanted a piece of the ultra tough Vandermeer. His only fight came against a tough hombre in Dean Serdachny in March. Jim is the glue that holds the Rebel defense together and he plays in all situations, though he is by no means a powerplay specialist. Would have liked to have seen more scrapping from Jim, but it's tough when opponents know just how tough you are.
Robin "Wonder Boy" Gomez

Centre
Height...6'1"
Weight...210lbs
Birthdate...10/15/81

Most likely a happy guy to have Wes Rypien added back to the roster for the playoffs to take some heat off. Robin slowed to two fights this month with Serdachny and Iannone providing the opposition. One of the most exciting fighters in the league with his go for broke fighting style, Robin never gets cheated when throwing a punch. Plays a third line shift on a very talented hockey team, the Hitmen will likely need Robin's physical presence for any kind of playoff run, especially if they meet the Rebels along the line.
Jeff "Not Brown, not Jones, it's" Smith

LW
Height...6'6"
Weight...212lbs
Birthdate...01/02/81

Like most of the other heavyweights in the central, Smith had a slow month with only one fight against Matt Sommerfeld. With most of the teams in the central/east playoffs being of the physical variety, Smith will likely be called upon at some point for his presence and scrapping ability.
Ryan "The madman from The Hat" Olynyk

Defence
Height...6'0"
Weight...202lbs
Birthdate...08/2//82

Led the central in fights with five, Ryan had scraps with Hiebert, Engelland, Crampton, Coulter and Grant. This eighteen year old rookie gained more ice time as the year progressed and injuries hit the Tigers, but he fought on a regular basis no matter the ice time all season long.
Triston "The piston" Grant

LW
Height...6'1"
Weight...203 lbs
D.O.B...02/02/84

With the departure of Derek Parker, young Triston made his presence felt as an up and comer for a consistently tough Hurricane team. Three fights in March against Coulter, Schefflemaier and Olynyk, Triston appears to be a guy we'll see a lot of down the road. Doesn't receive a lot of ice time, but with the Hurricanes battling the injury bug early in the playoffs, Triston may get some more ice time to work on more than his fighting.
Mike "Wild man" Lee

RW
Height...6'0"
Weight...215lbs
Birthdate...05/22/80

Hasn't shown his form in Kootenay that he did in the west division for a couple of seasons however he did drop the gloves a couple times in March. Mike fought two pretty tough guys from the east in Sommerfeld and Ponte, hopefully a sign of things to come for Ice fans as this guy can throw 'em when his heads in the game and he has a fire lit under him. Very hard puncher and hopefully the playoffs will bring out the best in Mike.
Andrew "Jungle boy" Jungwirth

Defence
Height...6'2"
Weight...215lbs
Birthdate...02/19/82

Took a couple of months off from fighting it seemed like, but did drop the gloves three times to draw back into the top ten. Fights with Engelland, Fehr and Robinson are hopefully signs that Andrew is going to step up for the Hurricanes in their first round series against the very physical Rebels. Big defenceman doesn't get a lot of ice time, but will need to make the most of it for the Canes to fare very well against the Rebels.
"Handy" Andy Thompson

Defence
Height...6'3"
Weight...205lbs
Birthdate...01/05/84

A member of the very tough sixteen year old brigade spread throughout the WHL this year. Big rangy defenceman was getting a fair amount of ice time early in the year and still plays more than most sixteen year olds get a chance to in the dub. Three fights in March included Mitchell, Segal and Agarunov, with Mitchell being the only true heavyweight, but make no mistake, this big defenceman will make some noise in this league for years to come.
Steve "Hakaway" Makway

Defence
Height...6'4"
Weight...210lbs
Birtdate...04/26/83

Another of the rather large, young players in the league who doesn't mind being physical. This seventeen year old had three fights in March against MacAvoy, Fehr and Jakes. Hasn't really fought on a consistent basis throughout the year, but with his size he'll likely find he gets plenty of offers during his time in the league.
