*I need some better art to replace the above bike. If you have some, not too big, send it by email and I will pick one for the spot. I'll use the rest on other parts of the page.
New as of July 15, 1998
NEWS Flash:
I am planning to have a new section for photos so be ready to take pictures at any of the events.
I have found out that Bromont opens for biking in early May. The season ticket rate is 90$ with take and you can get a second season ticket for about 60$. So far there has been no luck with group rates.
I have added a new section for people who want to sell used bike parts.
This clubs is for everyone. And when I mean everyone I mean everyone. I like biking on trails that range from , La petite train du nord which is flat and runs through the country at a raise of 2 feet per 100 feet, to down hill at Bromont. I got started on this whole thing by biking at the Parc Maisoneuve near the big O, so anyone can do this.
What I would like to do is get a whole bunch of people together who want to ride their bikes, down hill, cross country, or just in a nice country setting, and bring these people together for outings and the like. The idea would be to allow people to learn how to ride better and at the same time also learn more about working on their own bikes.
Best Part: It's free! That's right. The whole idea is that people get together and pay their own way, on whatever trip is planned. In a group we might be able to get better deals on passes at different places and on transport but there is no fee to join this group.
If this sounds good you have come to the right place. Below I have included some links to spots which may be useful to you for biking info. Take full advantage of this web page. Email me if you have the time and want more info.
If you own a biking store in the Montreal region and would like to act as a sponsor for this group or would like to give discounts to group members please email me and I will put a banner on this page with stating your efforts and where people can got to buy from you. Discounts on bikes, parts, and passes are always welcome.
Events:
Aug. Looking into Orford.
Also any new trails in the area.
A p'tit train du nord trip is in the works.
This spring I want to plan for a long ride on the p'tit train du
nord. This is a bike path which goes nord of Montreal and runs for 200km
north along the old CP rail line. I want to plan a trip all the way there
and back. That's 400km. Sounds like a lot but the path is very flat.
This is not really an off road ride. It's more of a country "get back to
nature" type event. Send me some email if it sounds good to you. I still
have not planned a date yet. Give me some ideas of when you might be free.

As a last point I will be getting some sponsors to help cover the cost of running this page. When you see these things around give them a try. You are not required to anything, however when you do, you ensure the presence of this web page on the net.
Also if you know of a store etc. who would like to put an add on this page let me know. I am particularly looking for places which will offer a discount to members of the club.
This page is constantly being improved, so if something does not work it soon will, or should ;) Also note that this club is also just starting so I am planning to get all this ready for early spring 98.
Please note that there are new photos of our Tremblant trip which will be added to the web page over the next week.
BTW I'm Steve
