Our beloved Suzu left us only a
short time ago.
She has spent the past twelve years
loving us for who we are
unconditionally. She has become one
of our best friends ever. We looked
forward to her greeting me each
morning with a cheerful hello. She was
always one to express her feelings
and spoke her mind quite freely. The
only thing that she would ask for in
return was a warm lap to curl up on.
She was at her most content just
sleeping on my lap or in the ray of
sunshine that came through the
window.
Unfortunately we discovered six
months ago that she had a rare form of
cancer, hemangiosarcoma. She was
operated on and had the cancerous tumor and
her spleen removed. As a result of
this, she proceeded to live six extra
joy filled months, until the cancer
returned. She became sick again and we
realized that the best thing we
could do for our friend was to let her go.
It was the most difficult decision
that we have ever had to make.
We know that God was with us during
that most difficult time. We know that
Suzu is waiting for us at Rainbow
Bridge. She is healthy and not suffering
any longer. We do miss her terribly
and have shed enough tears to last
anyone a lifetime! I miss touching
her and having her sit on me. I miss
looking at that sweet little face.
The thing I miss most of all is that
it is too quite in my house now that
she is gone. The silence is more
painful than anything else.
We love and you Suzu!!
