SANDI'S
CHRISTMAS VILLAGES

Collectors of Dept 56 often have favorites although
they usually secretly covet ALL the villages! The
Original Snow Village has a shiny glazed finish and
the nostalgia of Main Street, USA. Dickens Village
has intricate details in porcelain pieces. These are
the two that I currently collect.

From the Dickens Village

The Harley Davidson Motorcycle Shop
was introduced in 1996 and was based
on a licensed brand name. It became
one of the most popular Snow Village
pieces and has very nice accessories!

Art deco styled Rockabilly Records, recording studio
and business office has a roof created to look like a
vinyl record and a jukebox design on the corners. This
one also came out in 1996 while the Bowling Alley was
introduced the year prior. It features bowling pins and
ball atop a brick building and snowy trees at entrance.

Dept 56 was introduced in 1976 and what began as giftware
became one of the most successful collectibles available!
Six buildings were introduced in 1977 and were considered
crude when contrasted to today's designs. Each year more
buildings were added and in 1979, the first buildings..ten
in all...retired...setting the stage for collectible status.
