BACKGROUND
This page contains information about my home, where I grew up and still live today.  I am from the Village of Constantine, in Constantine Township, in Saint Joseph County, in the beautiful state of Michigan.  The area I live in is also known as "Michiana."  It's the southwestern Michigan and north-central Indiana stateline area Including Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe Counties in Michigan and Elkhart, LaGrange, and St. Joe Counties in Indiana.

You are never more than six miles from a lake or stream in Michigan.
Standing anywhere in the state a person is within 85 miles of one of the Great Lakes.

Mackinac Bridge: Completed in 1957, the five-mile-long suspension bridge (WORLD'S LONGEST SUSPENSION BRIDGE) connects Michigan's peninsulas across the Straits of Mackinac.
Sault Ste. Marie was founded by Father Jacques Marquette in 1668. It is the third oldest remaining settlement in the United States.
In 1817 the University of Michigan was the first university established by any of the states. Originally named Cathelepistemian and located in Detroit the name was changed in 1821. The university moved to Ann Arbor in 1841.
