Inside a quaint little house, a bell on an ankle bracelet that belonged to Samantha McConnel suddenly rang out to her, a sound only she could hear. She gasped, her eyes wide open. She looked down at the bell on her ankle, silently banging against the tiny red crystal that accompanied it. She crossed her right leg, the one with the bracelet, over her left knee. She closed her eyes and touched the crystal. A vision came to her, and it made her cry out in anguish. "No…! This can’t be! Largus wouldn’t dare come here!"
"What?" Asked her husband.
‘If dare’s attack us, he shall die!’ She yelled in her head. She jumped up from the table and ran out to the porch.
"Xavier!" Samantha yelled, her long dress billowing in the wind as she called to her son. Her son, Xavier, had gone to play on the edge of the bluffs. Not too farther was another house, and then a sheer drop down to the coastline of Scotland. Then a cold breeze came in from the sea, making her shiver, and making the crystal tied to her ankle and the bell, dissapear.
Not too far a way, a young boy of about 8 years looked up at the sound of his name. He had a thick mane of brown hair, with round hazel eyes. "I have to go in already?" He wondered. "But it tis’ only afternoon!" He stood up from his place in the weeds and looked towards his house and his waving mother. "Ack! Mother," Xavier yelled. "Go back in! I’ll be home in a wee bit! Really…"
While in mid-sentince, he felt a presence behind him. He spun around on his toe to see a kid come head-first in to his stomach, flinging both of them into the air. Xavier gasped, the air knocked out of him. Still yet, he grabbed the boy around the sides and then pulled all of his weight backwards, planted his feet warily on the ground, and used the momentum created by the boy to throw him. Xavier did a quick flip, but laded on his head. The other boy went flying into the tall weeds, tumbling and rolling to a stop.

Samantha started to run to retreive Xavier. But from out of no where, a man with long, wavy blond hair, icy blue eyes, and a long, pointed nose dropped down upon Samantha. Samantha noticed the attack, and went to change the crystal into her sword. But nothing happened.
"Wha…"
The man came down upon her, two long daggers planted deep in the edges of her shoulders, both coming in at an angle towards the center of her, one blade piercing the top of the right lung.
She looked at him in shock, feeling the poison soaked onto the daggers drip into her system. She found that she could barely move her arms, or the rest of her body, from her neck down. Her body wavered back and forth, barely balanced on her feet. She could feel the nerve toxin taking affect.
The man stood up strait, and put his left arm behind his back. He moved his pointer finger side to side, and said, "Nu-uh-uhh! Naughtly little Sammy girl! You shouldn’t interfere with buisness that’s not your’s!" He then started to laugh histerically, like a demented Santa Clause, but in a higher pitch. Then he stopped, anger smeared across his face. "NOW YOU GET TO DIE LIKE THE DOG YOU ARE! YOUR SON WILL DIE TOO! Largus owed me a favor, sooo, here’s JONNY!" He pointed to the horizon, dark and looming black clouds coming strait for where they were. He then started laughing histerically again for a moment. As soon as he was done, she started to fall over. He then quickly casted a spell, and a huge gust of wind picked her up and threw her back all the way to her house, her body hitting the post that kept up the roof on the right side of the front porch. With the force of her flying through the air, the post cracked and she fell limply down on to the ground.
"NOOOO! Samantha!" Her husband cried. He was standing in the door way with his great sword. He then turned to see the blond man. "KEFKA!?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" He yelled to the man.
"Oh dear, it’s the wonder-baffoon, Cyrus McConnel! Well, how do you do? It’s such an honor to meet such famous COWARD!"
"I’ll kill you Kefka! You’re not too tough!"
"Oh yeah…" Asked Kefka, he then charged up a spell, and shot it off towards Cyrus.
Cyrus grinned. "Harmph! Kefka! You’re spells have never had any affect on me! HA HA HAA…"
Then spell was just about to hit, and Cyrus suddenly realized that Kefka was stronger now. He could feel it in the on-coming spell. "No way…" He put up his hands defesively, and stepped back to try to block to blast. With his hands and his mind, he could rebound almost any spell thrown at him.
However, the spell blasted right through his shield, and it froze him to the bone. He now stood as an ice statue.
Kefka started laughing again, "Oh ho hoo! This is great," and he then turned towards the incoming dragon. "There’s one down for ya! Oh ho ho ho hooo!" He then closed his eyes, concentrated for a second, and then disappeared.

Both out of breath, they sat there for a second.
"H… How did you… know I was coming at you?" Asked the boy.
"Easily…! I heard you tromping through the weeds and such."
The other boy sat up, looking at Xavier. "And how in the world did ye throw me like that?
Xavier sat up too. He gave the boy a quick glance. "I don’t rightly know Charles. I just, did it!"
The boy suddenly jumped up, and so did Xavier. The boy started running, and when he was close enough, he struck out with his right fist. Xavier anticipated this, so he dodged to the right, grabbed his punch, and once again, used his momentum to flip him over Xavier. The boy landed squarely on his back with a large thump.
"Now that one," Xavier started breathlessly, "I saw me Pop do!"
The boy writhered in pain on the ground. He slowly picked himself up, wincing and groaning in pain.
A thunderous rolling sound came from the sky. Both boys looked up, terrified, to see off in the distance, a huge cold front rolling strait for them.
"F**K! It’s Largus! Run for it Charles!" Yelled Xavier, but Charles was already up and running towards his house. Xavier looked at his house, very close by, while Charles’s house was too far away for him to reach. Xavier looked towards Charles’s house, already touched by Largus’s cold, shadowy touch. Charles had spun around, and he was now running towards Xavier’s home. Xavier saw Charles’s house already had their Cold Ward out, protecting the general vicinity around the home, so the inhabitants wouldn’t be instantly frozen by the shadow cast down by the storm system that Largus, the Dark Silver dragon, lived in. He came from a continent created solely for Dragon-kin. However, Largus liked to leaved the island once and a while and terrorize some of the human’s land, which he thought should be theirs.
Xavier, frozen in fear, thought he saw the body of the Silver Dragon spinning and flying around in the cloud, sometimes, his long silvery body coming out of a cloud, and then arcing his body back into the cloud.
Then, his body started to work again, but by now, the shadow of the dark clouds were getting dangerously close. He felt his body spin around and take off running towards his house. He ran and ran, feeling the absolute zero temperature gaining behind him, already chilling him to the bone. He ran and ran, and right before the shadow of the clouds fell upon him, he tripped on a root sticking out of the ground. And he fell, but didn’t hit the ground. The last thing that went through his mind was that he was frozen now, forever suspended in death. He went unconscious and kept falling, and falling…
