~ Ex-Archon for the Tremere and Toreador,

the destroyer of Boston

Thorn is by far the most feared member of the Camarilla.Not much is known about her past, as she has killed all who knew her then, but it is known that she is originally from France, and is at least 600 years old.

Thorn claims no clan as her own, yet no one dares call her Caitif, upon fear of death. Her first appearance in Kindred history is around the time of the forming of the Camarilla and Sabbat in 1666, (This is different than the official White Wolf timeline, which states around 1444.) when she killed all the Sabbat within a 50 mile radius of Paris. A few days later she agreed to serve as an Archon for the Tremere Justicar, Ulleg Begh.

During her time as Tremere Archon Thorn killed many Sabbat packs, and even a few Archbishops and Bishops. She had no mercy for any kindred in her way. In 1995 Thorn was sent to Boston to investigate rumors of sabbat activity. While there she found the Prince to be an idiot. He had Anarchs and Sabbat swaring the city, and doing whatever they wished. The Prince was attacked that night by the Anarchs, and almost destroyed. Luckily, Thorn was there and stopped the attack easily. The Prince thanked her, and let the Anarch go free - as long as they promised not to do it ever again. Thorn was shocked, and later had to disarm many bombs that were planted by those same Anarchs (what? the Anarchs lied!?). Deciding that the city wasn't worth saving, Thorn left, warning the Prince that she would return the next night. She returned as promised, with two more Archons. She began her systematic destruction of all vampiric presence within the city of Boston at around 6:00 PM, and was finished by sunrise. No one was spared. It was later explained that it was impossible to tell who was Sabbat and who wasn't, so the safest avenue was to kill them all. This did not do much to help her standing with the Justicars of the clans, but made every Prince around the world take notice, for she was not punished for this event - she was given more status (that of feared).Every prince flinches now when her name is mentioned, and even those without faith pray that she will not come to their city.

Boston's erradication was Thorn's last act as Tremere Archon. The Inner Circle replaced Ulleg Begh with someone else, and Thorn refused to work for him. She spent the next few months travelling with Ulleg, and not killing anything(an amazing feat to those who knew her best). Her overpowering need to destroy the Sabbat could not be stopped, however, and she became Archon for the Toreador. Thorn was not as open about her activities during this time. The only event that is known to the general kindred populace, was her last act as an Archon. Thorn had been sent to Groton, Connecticut. The Prince, a Malkavian named Bob, was complaining that the Sabbat had committed sirenapping(the act of taking one's sire, for those of you who don't speak malkavesse). Bob, unlike other Princes, was thrilled to see Thorn in his city. He was paranoid that everyone was Sabbat, and even refused to have a Senechal, for fear that they might be Sabbat. He knew she would take care of the Sabbat problem, and he wanted her to teach him how to hunt Sabbat. Thorn enjoyed her stay in this small town, and remained there for almost a year. She killed very few people during that time, but took action when she got word that there might be Sabbat elders meeting in Groton. In fact there were - Gratiano(Lasombra's childe that betrayed and killed him) and his proginy, along with a few others, had arrived in town to kill Thorn. Instead they found themselves under attack. Thorn's training and experience in battle gave her the edge she needed. Although weak and nearly destroyed, Thorn managed to survive, and diablerized the two elder Lasombra, bringing herself to fouth generation.

These were not her first diableries however, she had committed this act twice before, also on Sabbat. The Inner Circle turnred a blind eye, as usual, but one elder took notice. Etrius, the head of Clan Tremere(and rumored to be a member of the inner circle). He and Thorn have hated one another for a very long time. Nobody knows how it all began, only that you cannot put them in a room together without expecting a fight to erupt. Etrius, and many others, remember a time when he dominated Thorn into doing something against her will. She had vowed to never allow that to happen again, and to make Etrius understand how it felt. In order to do so, she had to be equal to him in generation, now she was. Shortly after this, Etrius showed up in town to "question" her, and a fight erupted. There were 2 Tremere Archons present, as well as Ulleg Begh and the Ventrue Primogen of Groton - Nyster. It is said that the two Archons left the room when the fight began, and Nyser tryed but was chained to the floor. The fight began when Etrius said something(which nobody seems to remember), and Thorn shifted into wolf form. Etrius followed suit, and the two tore at one another a few times before Etrius threw Thorn against a wall. They both returned to normal, and while Thorn extended her claws Etrius began to cast. At the last moment Ulleg Begh stepped between him, taking on the force of both attacks(nearly killing himself), and begged them not to continue. The fight was stopped, and Etrius left for Vienna. Thorn left the service of the Toreador after that, and took left for Austria with the VanDermeer family when Julianna fell out of Golaconda.

More recently however, Thorn has returned to Groton, and had an encounter with someone from her mysterious past, a Tzimesce named Gustav. Thorn showed up outside Elysium a few months ago to stop a fight, and ended up on her knees in tears. Nobody knows what was said between Gustav and Thorn, only that it took it's toll on her. After she was reduced to tears her beast was released, and she ran from the scene in frenzy. New London County paid the price. Over 300 people died by her hands within the next two months. She was finally brought out of frenzy by Anna VanDermeer, after a fight in front of Virgin Megacorp's headquarters.

Now, in control of herself (as much as a four time diablerist can be), Thorn again serves as Anna VanDermeer's gaurdian. She lives in the VanDermeer chantry, and awaits Gehenna anxiously.
