Here's something different this time ..Be VERY careful, of the so called paid to surf company All Advantage. They will severly rip you off and acuse you of doing things that you have not done in order to take money you've "earned" away from you! And if you ask them for proof of the accusations they will repeat the same old crap to you and not check into any records for you whatsoever. Like they never would make any kind of mistakes.. Hmmm.. very dodgy! Also, they will not send your cheques out and will conveniently take away money you've "earned" after you have accumulated a lot of it! At least this was my experience with them.. It was unbelievable! I just thought I'd inform everyone to be wary of them, because I had over $70 in my account there, which they took away and it was there for months.. I never receicved a single check from them in the mail prior to this and never did anything to break their terms or conditions and I now consider it to be a huge waste of my time! But u know what they say.. "if something sounds too good to be true, then it usually is!" So, You've been warned! Spread the word!!

Well, I haven't updated the site for ages now. I've been hard at work on the Hero 6 Project.(Which is a full year old now!) In case you've been living in Mordavia for the past year, the hero6 project is an attempt to create a high-quality adventure game in the spirit of QFG. (It is NOT a sequel to QFG however). And we feel that the game will be just as good as the original QFG games! A huge amount of work has been done thus far but the team could use some more Artists with Photoshop experinece and some more artists with GIF animation experience to. Some extra programmers is never a bad thing either :) So, if you feel that you can help in those areas, get your booty on over the The Hero 6 development Page and sign up!
Here's a few early stage thumbnail teasers of screens from Hero6's forest area:
Our first interactive/playable demo will be out *very* soon! So come and check us out!

The game company 'Codemasters' has leased out the old Yosemite offices in Oakhurst California and picked up the rights to 2 abandoned sierra titles. Navy Seals and The Realm (a title which was recently scrapped by the new managment of Sierra studios, because the game's programmers refused to comply with orders to turn a classic RPG into a 3rd person shooter). Codemasters have also purchased the right to use the label 'Yosemite Entertainment'. The company has hired many ex-Sierra employees as well as Craig Alexander (the producer of Quest for Glory V), who will be running the show!
See Here for codemasters official release.
And Here for the article at Gamcenter.

After the closure of Yosemite Entertainment, it became clear that no future QFG games would be created by Sierra. Needless to say, this left many people dissapointed, given the many unresolved events and numerous loopholes in QFG5. Here's where the fans come in ... again! Swing by to the Hero 6: Quest for more Glory site, where a bunch of us QFG fans are working away at an original 'sequel' and tribute to the Quest for Glory games. This new Quest for Glory-ish game closley follows the style of QFG1-4 and has a Celtic setting. Best of all, the finished game is going to be a freeware product. Things are starting to get interesting now.
And as if that wasn't enough, another dedicated group of fans named The Rev0lution are currently programming a multiplayer "add-on" patch for QFG5! The patch is being made to give all the dissapointed QFG fans out there what was promised. I think this proves that QFG is definatley one game that holds a special place in every fans heart! It may not be the most well-known series out there.. but it's definatley one of the best!

Well as most of you will probably know by now... The decision to close down the Yosemite division of Sierra has resulted in the Quest for Glory series being scrapped..... yet again. This also means that all future add-ons (including but not limited to the much anticipated multiplayer patch) have gone down the tubes too.
Rumor has it that Lori and Corey Cole are negotiating with Sierra for the rights to the series so they can develop future QFG games with their newly formed company Transolar Games.. but nobody can claim this as either fact or fiction. So for all the dissapointed Quest for Glory fans... I guess we'll just have to wait for another miracle to come true if we want to see Quest for Glory 6. And in the meantime, we'll just have to put up with this First person shooter "Phase" that Sierra is going through.
By the way, for anybody who wants to try this out.. here's a funky Winamp skin that I made with a Quest for Glory theme. Download QFG Winamp Skin. It still needs some work.. but hey.. at least it beats the normal winamp skin!

A very few of the Yosemite Entertainment Employee's were asked to relocate to Washington in order to work for Sierra there. Apparantly the company is now going to focus on On-line gaming and first-person shooter type games. Talk about jumping on the bandwagon, huh? If this does happen, then the Sierra that brought us Classic adventure gaming for more than a decade is truly dead.
However, Lori and Corey Cole turned down the offer to relocate to Sierra's Bellevue offices and instead have started up their own company Transolar Games
Maybe.... just maybe, there's a dim hope that a future still exists for the Quest for Glory series!

There's not much news on the Quest for Glory front at all lately.. Other than the fact that Yosemite Entertainment (formerly Sierra) shut down their Oakhurst, California division on Monday 22nd of Febuary... after being in business for 20 years. Over 135 Sierra employee's suddenly found themselves unemployed. The Yosemite division was responsible for games such as Kings Quest 7, Police Quest: Swat 2 and Quest for Glory 5: Dragon Fire. They were also working on the upcoming RPG 'Middle Earth' and Leisure Suit Larry 8. It's pretty sad to see this happen, and Sierra say that they are relocting their work to their Bellevue offices in Washington.
So, does this mean no more Quest for Glory 5 multiplayer patch? Who knows... we can only hope..
Follow this link to the Save Sierra Petition, and join the campaign to vent your frustration. If you have a Sierra related webpage then you might wanna add this link as well, to spread the word.
