Kyurene ()

History: Kyurene was a female Youma recruited by Jadeite to help him gather energy from human beings in order to revive Queen Metallia. Entrusted with a special audio cassette - one containing subliminal sound waves designed to drain energy from humans - and given the task of planting it in an ideal location, Kyurene traveled to the Jam Records building in the city of Tokyo, Japan, apparently intending to replace a master tape in the recording studio with the one from the Dark Kingdom. Unfortunately, she was interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Akiko Yanagi, the head of the company's recording team, and forced to hide lest her presence be discovered. 
                Intent on killing Akiko in order to recover the cassette - which the woman had taken, having mistaken it for one of jazz pianist Yuusuke Amade's demo tapes - Kyurene's plans were again unwittingly thwarted after another staff member happened by to tell Akiko that Yuusuke had arrived and was waiting for her in the main floor lobby. Secretly observing how she passed the tape on to him, the Youma attempted to attack Yuusuke in an abandoned alley in order to retrieve it, but he managed to escape before she had a chance to act. 
                Left with little choice but to report her failure to Jadeite and bluntly informed by the latter that her life was forfeit if she failed to recover the cassette, Kyurene surprised Yuusuke Amade in a parking garage and did indeed manage to retrieve the recording, her subsequent attempt to kill the jazz pianist only failing because of the timely appearance of Usagi Tsukino. The monster fled, returning to Jam Records to complete her original mission, but was once again interrupted by the timely arrival of the trio of Usagi, Yuusuke and Luna. During the standoff which followed, Yuusuke was injured rescuing Akiko after Kyurene took her hostage in exchange for the audio tape. In the end, the Youma was left with no choice but to flee after Luna destroyed the cassette and with it all hope of her being able to complete her assignment. 
                Landing in an abandoned stadium following her flight, Kyurene was confronted by Sailor Moon, whereupon she blasted the Sailor Soldier with sound waves from her spread wings. The monster might have succeeded in eliminating her opponent had Sailor Moon not had one of her rare moments of brilliance and found a way to reflect the waves right back at the Youma by tossing a microphone into it, thereby channeling it through an amplifier and blasting the monster with an augmented version of her own attack. Temporarily incapacitated as a result, Kyurene was subsequently destroyed by Sailor Moon's "Moon Tiara Action".

Abilities: Aside from being able to assume human form, Kyurene possessed razor sharp claws, which she used as scratching and slashing weapons. She could vary their length at will, either causing them to form long, tapering claws fully capable of piercing human flesh or to extend indefinitely for use as a long range stabbing weapon. In addition, she could transport herself over long distances, either by teleportation or converting herself into a swarm of bats and flying towards her destination. Kyurene's most devastating power, however, was her ability to fire powerful, explosive supersonic blasts from both of her fully extended wings, a power, it should be added, from which even she was not fully immune. In keeping with her appearance, she could also use her batlike wings to fly and may have shared other abilities with these flying mammals, though these remain unrevealed.
