History: Prince Demand was born on the tenth planet of our Solar System, a world shrouded in darkness known only as Nemesis, the Black Moon. Little has been revealed about his childhood, save that, ever since he was young boy, he was greatly troubled by the desolate conditions that existed on his homeworld and has long harbored a desire to reclaim his ancestral home planet Earth. While the source of this ambition is not known with absolute certainty, it is presumed to be at least partially rooted in a single event in his childhood, when Demand, while out one day in the company of his younger brother, Sapphir, happened upon a flower, a rare prize on the otherwise bleak and barren Black Moon. As appreciative of the bloom as Sapphir was, yet deeply troubled by the fact that such wonders of nature were so seldom seen on Nemesis, Prince Demand made a solemn vow that the Black Moon Family would someday invade Earth and reclaim it as their own. Some might have dismissed this notion as mere wishful thinking on the part of a child, yet so strong was Demand's dream to return to Earth and improve the quality of life for the people of Nemesis that it became the driving force that would guide him for the rest of his life.
Though further details are lacking, it is known that, at some point in his life, the normally soft-spoken Prince Demand fell deeply in love with Neo Queen Serenity, who ruled over 30th century Earth and resided in the utopian city of Crystal Tokyo with her husband, King Endymion. He also fell under the influence of the mysterious individual known as Wiseman, who, with his false prophecies, misleading information and intricate lies, manipulated the young ruler into believing that the people of Earth were responsible for having banished his ancestors to the Black Moon and convincing him that he and Neo Queen Serenity would one day be lovers. So blinded was he by his love and avenging the great wrong that he believed had been inflicted upon his people that he failed to see how Wiseman was manipulating him and the other members of the Black Moon Family to further his own sinister agenda.
Following the invasion of Crystal Tokyo by the forces of the Black Moon, made possible by the mysterious disappearance of the Illusion Silver Crystal of the future, and Chibi Usa's journey back in time to the 20th century, several members of the Black Moon Family - Rubeus and the Ayakashi Sisters Cooan, Beruche, Calaveras and Petz - were sent into the past to eliminate both her and the Silver Crystal of that era in order to secure their victory. Though patient, Prince Demand eventually grew weary of Rubeus' incompetance and inability to complete either his assigned mission or his corruption of Crystal Points and was intent on replacing him with Esmeraude, which he did indeed do following the former's untimely demise. He approved her plan to corrupt Negative Points, though he later recalled her when Wiseman convinced him that it might be more worthwhile to add Chibi Usa's power to that of the Wicked Crystal rather than to destroy her outright after they both witnessed a display of the incredible power at her command.
When the Sailor Soldiers first journeyed into the future, Prince Demand succeeded in capturing Sailor Moon, and, in a display of one of the few unscrupulous aspects of his character, attempted to use the mesmeric powers of his third eye to hyponotize her into loving him. She was saved through the timely intervention of Tuxedo Mask, and, surprisingly, Esmeraude, who indirectly aided them in their escape because of her love for the prince and her unwillingness to see him and her hated rival for his affections, Sailor Moon, together.
Presented with Black Lady - the corrupt adult form of Chibi Usa - by Wiseman and promised that they were on the verge of winning now that they had brought her over to their side, Prince Demand, having left his brother Sapphir in charge of the Wicked Crystal, departed to set the final stage of his plan into motion by journeying into the past to the 20th century, where he planted a shard of the crystal in the heart of the city of Tokyo. Black Lady then caused it to grow to enormous proportions by feeding it with Dark Power, with the intention of opening the Dark Gate, thus changing the past in order to assure their victory in the future. Little did Demand suspect that, in doing so, he was playing right into Wiseman's hands, and that the plans they were implementing were no longer his own.
Shortly after returning, Prince Demand was dumbstruck when Wiseman informed him that Sapphir had apparently turned traitor and stolen the Crystal Key Card, a component vital to the Wicked Crystal's proper functioning. Though they had once been as close as two brothers could possibly be, a rift had slowly starting forming between Sapphir and Demand due to both their opposing views on how the conquest of Earth should proceed and concerning the strength of Wiseman's influence on the latter, a disagreement so strong that it had once caused the young prince to lash out at his brother in a fit of anger. Even so, Demand could not bring himself to believe that a difference in opinion between them, no matter how great, would end in betrayal by one who had always served him with such faith and loyalty. Perhaps convinced more by this single occurance than by all the previous warnings he had received that his younger brother's claims may have had some merit after all, Pirnce Demand, upon confronting Sapphir, was fully willing to hear his version of events before coming to any conclusions. Tragically, this was not to be, and he could only watch in horror as Wiseman - intent on retrieving the Crystal Key Card and eliminating the one person who could expose him for who and what he truly was - suddenly appeared and mercilessly slew Sapphir before the young prince had a chance to stop him. Shaken to the core by the horrid spectacle he had just witnessed, Prince Demand's once unwavering trust in Wiseman was forever shattered and he began to actively question the cloaked figure's true intentions, the cold-blooded murder of his beloved brother Sapphir having accomplished what Esmeraude's death had not.
Though the fact that Wiseman did indeed have ulterior motives was becoming more and more evident to him, Prince Demand's obsession with gaining the love of Neo Queen Serenity, and, more importantly, revenge on the people of Earth, proved to be strong enough to maintain him on his present course, despite his misgivings and suspicions. Upon capturing Sailor Moon a second time after she, Tuxedo Mask and the other Sailor Soldiers had succeeded in penetrating into the Wicked Crystal, he attempted to seduce her a second time with his hypnotic third eye, though his efforts once again ended in failure. Having seen the heartfelt sincerity and truth in her eyes during the discussion that followed, Demand ended up being convinced that there was, indeed, no basis for the enmity he was led to believe existed between their two peoples and finally realized the nature of the warning that Sapphir had been trying to convey. Enraged at being ordered by Wiseman to eliminate Sailor Moon and at the revelation that he and the rest of the Black Moon Family had merely been the dark prophet's living pawns from the very beginning, Prince Demand, in an incredible display of determination and the raw power at his command, battled the cloaked figure to a standstill, but was mortally wounded when he took a blow meant for Sailor Moon in order to prevent her from being killed. Dying, he summoned forth all his remaining strength and destroyed Wiseman with an enormous blast of energy, albeit temporarily. In his final moments, Demand, in a refreshing act of honesty, admitted his mistakes to Sailor Moon and asked her to fulfill the promise he now no longer could: to bring the people of the Black Moon back to their ancestral home planet Earth. She agreed, and Prince Demand died, comforted by the thought that his people might have a future after all and would not pay the price for his failure to see through Wiseman's web of deceit. His final heartfelt words to Sailor Moon were simply: "I love you."

Height: Estimated at 5'11'' (180 cm); never accurately measured
Weight: Unknown
Eyes: Violet
Hair: Pale blue

Abilities: Undoubtedly the strongest member of the Black Moon Family, Prince Demand displayed a variety of powers, including the ability to teleport both himself and others, to levitate and hover in mid-air and cause others to do the same, generate black, hurricane-like funnels of Dark Power to bewilder and confuse his opponents, project images of himself over a distance in order to communicate with others, and fire enormous, continuous blasts of blue and white energy from his open hands. One of Prince Demand's greatest powers, however, was that of exposing individuals to the hypnotic third eye which he could cause to form from the black, inverted crescent moon symbol on his forehead. With it, he could mesmerize and stun people in order to render them helpless or bend them to his will, though his mental hold would be broken if he was distracted or had his concentration broken.
Paraphernalia: Prince Demand could cause his crystalline earring to emit a stream of Dark Power in order to plant a shard of the Wicked Crystal, as he did in order to open the Dark Gate in modern-day Tokyo, Japan.
