[Moon Locket] (original series)First appearance: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Episode 001 A golden brooch with a crescent moon and circle engraved on the front and encrusted with a variety of multicolored jewels around its borders. The transformation brooch was originally given by Luna to Usagi Tsukino, who invoked its inherant mystical power to transform herself into Sailor Moon by speaking the magic words "Moon Prism Power, Make Up!". It served Usagi well for much of her initial Sailor Soldier career until shortly after her resurrection following her final battle with the Dark Kingdom when it suddenly began to fail her, allegedly as a result of her lack of desire to be Sailor Moon and her wish to remain a normal junior high student. During her battle with the Cardian Racey, the brooch failed her completely and shattered, reversing her transformation and causing her to revert back to her human form. During her subsequent encounter with the spirit of Queen Serenity, what little remained of it was combined with the Illusion Silver Crystal to form a new one - dubbed the Crystal Star - whose power Usagi invoked to turn herself into Sailor Moon from then on.
