History: Vampir was the first of a series of female
Cardians - selected by Ann from a mystical deck of tarot cards and summoned
by Ail with his flute - sent to gather energy from humans in order to feed
the Makaiju, specifically from young girls dreaming of romance. Immediately
after being called upon by the two aliens, Vampir went on a nighttime rampage
through the streets of Tokyo, attacking any female she happened upon, including
Naru Osaka when she became an eyewitness to an attack on a victim in the
alleyway facing her bedroom window and Usagi Tsukino when the latter came
to check up on her best friend after one of their phone conversation was
interrupted by the monster's actions. Artemis, who, together with Luna,
had tracked the creature's progress and attempted to defend Naru as best
they were able, managed to capture the Cardian's attention and lure her
away from the scene before Usagi was rendered unconscious by the energy
draining process.
Despite his best efforts to the contrary, Artemis eventually fell
prey to Vampir and may well have ended up in a similar state as her previous
victims had it not been for the timely intervention of Usagi Tsukino as
Sailor Moon, whose memories of being a Sailor Soldier as well as of the
final battle with the Dark Kingdom circumstance had forced Luna to restore,
something she expressed her great displeasure to the monster about. Though
initially successful at avoiding her attacks, Sailor Moon was soon incapacitated
by the Cardian, who began draining her of her energy a second time, though
Luna managed to distract the monster by biting her arm long enough for
the Sailor Soldier to regain her bearings and destroy Vampir with her "Moon
Tiara Action".
Height: Unknown
Weight: Unknown
Eyes: Green (no visible irises
or pupils)
Hair: Blue
Skin: Purple
Abilities: Aside from being able to
physically manifest herself after being summoned by Ail's flute playing,
Vampir possessed a superhuman leaping ability, was rather agile and quick
on her feet, and, like all Cardians, could collect energy from living creatures
and store it within her own body for an indefinite period of time before
eventually releasing it in order to feed the Makaiju. In this particular
case, energy drainage was accomplished through physical contact with the
prehensile, elongatable stamens of the red flower that comprised the monster's
right hand, though these could also be used to incapacitate and restrain
individuals by tightly wrapping themselves around them or as a weapon in
a manner reminscent of a whip or chain. The center of the aforementioned
blossom was also able to expand to form a mouthlike formation complete
with sharp teethlike projections that was probably capable of consuming
objects in the same manner as the real thing. Vampir could also extend
the length of her right arm to incredible lengths.
