History: The story of the inhuman creature known
as Geeseen actually begins during the time of the Silver Millennium when
he was a member of the Seven Great Youmas of the Dark Kingdom, a heptet
of monsters of unknown origin who were loyal to Queen Beryl and participated
in her invasion and attempted conquest of the Moon Kingdom one thousand
years ago. Thanks to the power of Queen Serenity, however, he and his six
compatriots were each imprisoned within seven separate shards of the Illusion
Silver Crystal - fragments that eventually came to be known as the Rainbow
Crystals due to the correspondance of their individual hues with one of
the seven primary colors - and carried to Earth where they were reincarnated
nearly ten centuries later with no memories of their prior existences as Youmas.
In this particular instance, Geeseen - who had been sealed within the red
Rainbow Crystal - was reborn in the latter half of the 20th century as
a human being with the given name of Jou.
Little is known about either the history or the personal life of Jou, save
that at a young age under circumstances which have yet to be fully revealed,
he learned that he possessed the power of telekinesis: the psychic ability
to move objects with his mind. Deciding, when he was older, to put his
special gift to what he considered to be its best and most advantageous
use - at least as far as his own personal gain was concerned - Jou used
his skill to levitate solid objects to "master" the prize-grappling
crane game and managed to clean out so many machines in so many different
game centers all over Tokyo in this somewhat unscrupulous manner that he
established a reputation as a local arcade legend, earning the nickname
of "Crane Jou" as a result of his apparent skill.
Following one such productive visit to the Crown Game Center one fateful
day, Crane Jou was suddenly attacked on the street by Zoisite, who was
intent on acquiring his Rainbow Crystal so that he might reunite it with
the others to form the Illusion Silver Crystal, whose power the ruler of
the Dark Kingdom, Queen Metallia, allegedly required in order to fully
revive. Though granted a temporary reprieve from the fate the Dark General
had in store for him thanks to Makoto Kino's fighting skills, he proved
to be anything but grateful and tried to distance himself from her, perhaps
from embarassment at having been saved by a lovestruck young teenager or
due to the lingering effects of the evidently painful Rainbow Crystal extraction
process. Though he did eventually reveal the existence of his telekinetic
powers to her, Jou did so more to appease her curiosity about his uncanny
skill at the crane game - and more likely than not in the hopes of discouraging
her from hanging around him and attempting to play "bodyguard"
- than out of any sense of genuine gratitude on his part. This became evident
when he chose to flee and save his own skin rather than help Makoto when
Zoisite openly attacked both of them in the cafe - Tea and Coffee Tour
de Corse - in which they were seated, as well as by his brutally candid
statement to Usagi Tsukino that he "couldn't stand a big girl like
her".
After finally being cornered by Zoisite in a nearby park, Crane Jou was
finally deprived of the red Rainbow Crystal residing within him, causing
him to revert back into his original form of Geeseen. Now a Youma once
more, he immediately proceeded to attack Sailor Moon - who had arrived
on the scene in pursuit of the Dark General - but was foiled in his attempt
by Makoto, who picked the monster up and threw him into some nearby bushes.
Quickly recovering, the monster managed to successfully ensnare and incapacitate
Sailor Moon with a second attack, but found Makoto to be a more difficult
target thanks to Luna, who provided her with the transformation pen she
needed to undergo her first ever transformation into Sailor Jupiter. After
being struck and momentarily stunned by Sailor Jupiter's "Supreme
Thunder", Geeseen's human form was finally restored, again thanks
to Luna, who produced the Moon Stick and provided the information that
Sailor Moon required in order to perform her "Moon Healing Escalation"
and change him back into Crane Jou, who was apparently no worse for the
wear in spite of his nightmarish experience.
Several months later, Crane Jou once again found himself at the center
of an evil plot when he and several of his fellow Rainbow Crystal carriers
were abducted and imprisoned within the Black Crystal by Prince Endymion
- then a brainwashed servant in the thrall of the Dark Kingdom - as part
of an attempt to reunite the Seven Great Youmas so that they would come
together and unite to form a single, unimaginably powerful monster capable
of eradicating the Sailor Soldiers once and for all. Thanks to some clever
outmaneuvering on the part of Sailor Mercury, however, the Black Crystal
was destroyed before this event came to pass and Jou and the others were
freed from the Dark Kingdom's clutches, apparently suffering from no ill
effects despite their ordeal. It is presumed that, following this last
event, Crane Jou's life - as well as those of his fellow Rainbow Crystal
carriers - has finally returned to a state of normalcy.
Height: Unknown
Weight: Unknown
Eyes: Red (as
Geeseen; no visible irises or pupils); brown (as Crane Jou)
Hair: None (as Geeseen); brown (as Crane Jou)
Skin: Uncertain, possibly brown (as Geeseen)
Abilities: In his human form, Crane Jou possesses the power of telekinesis,
the psychic ability to move solid objects using only the power of his mind.
Thus far, he has only proven capable of levitating and controlling the
motion of a variety of small objects - such as dolls and ashtrays, for
example - and it is both unknown what Jou's limitations are as well as
whether or not the rather narrow and ultimately small-scale applications
of his inherant psychic powers have prevented him from achieving his full
potential and developing his gift into a truly formidable ability. In his
youma form, Geeseen - with the possible exception of increased stamina
and resistance to physical injury - possesses no known supernatural powers.
He could apparently merge with his fellow Seven Great Youmas to form a
single, incredibly powerful, shadowy demonic entity, though, fortunately
for the Sailor Soldiers, he never got the opportunity to demonstrate this
ability.
Paraphernalia: Geeseen wore a large metallic band on his lower right
arm that could be programmed via a series of red buttons on a circular
black control pad in order to make a variety of different peripherals and
attachments appear out of thin air. These included a spiked hammer which
he swung around on a line as a weapon, as well as grappling claws which
could be launched like rockets and used to impede the motion of and reel
in opponents.

The Seven Great Youmas of the Dark Kingdom

"Ahh...the ever precious Sailor Mercury doll is mine
at long last!" :)

Well, at least someone finally found a creative use for
those crappy metal McDonald's ashtrays... :)

"Succumb to the power of my crystalline phallic symbol,
puny mortal!" o_o

"Hey! What's that camera doing way down there?"
o_o

"Feel the wrath of my Nintendo Power Glove!"
:)

"Hey! Let me out of this phone booth! I'll pay my
bill next time, I swear!" :)

"Boy, it must have been really cramped in
there..." :)
