Death Triad

The next group of dragons have been sighted throughout the Forgotten Realms and have long been a thorn on many peoples sides. Yet the combined strength is so incredible that as of yet, no one has the power to challange them, or if they have simply haven't tried. Each dragon is their own entity, and each with their own thoughts and beliefs. Their leader, Mycanth, a raving psychopath is a psychotic killer and loves nothing more than death. Second in command, Tyth, is the magical backbone and no one has been able to compete with his magic. As such his first love is knowledge and will act most untrustworthy to gain more knowledge. Last is Roar, a brute with the power to back up his claim that, " Roar crush!! ". Together they have formed the Death Triad, a group dedicated to eliminating humans, elves, and all other races from the face of their world. Their combined lair is a massive cave hidden under the Spirit Wood, a place enchanted and popluated by many undead. To even reach their lair one must pass by several liches who protect the dragons. Needless to say, any action against them would need to be made by only the most powerful of characters.

Mycanth

Age: 500 winters

Lair: Spirit Wood

Description: Mycanth is the first of the Death Triad as they call themselves. A large Black, she is the head of the Triad, and the eldest. A typical black dragon with the exception of her ruthlessness. Mercilessly destroying anything in her path, she created the name for the Triad. She has fought battle after battle against villages and towns, even cities and has yet to lose. Her treasure hoard is huge, as can be expected from her victories. She was born under the watchful eye of her mother, and taught the basics of dragon ettiquette. After almost one hundred year she waited till her mother fell asleep then killed her. After the deed was complete she drank her mothers blood and took all the treasure the wyrm had accumulated. Suffering from an amazing dose of jealousy, she plans to destroy anyone that might have a greater collection of treasure than her. After her mother she took a string of other dragons out, each one underestimating her strength and resolve. Her primary goal has changed from treasure, to death. In the last fifty years it has been recorded that she is trying to form a large enough force of dragons to level Waterdeep. If she is successful in this then no city will be safe. Already she alone is responcible for more than twenty thousand deaths.

In addition to her natural magical abilities she has collected an assortment of magical items. Her favorite being her circlet of the Wyrm which doubles her power and breath damage. She also has a rod of polymorphing, which she often uses to infiltrate towns that are designated for death. Then in the middle of the night will change into her true form and destroy while the populace sleeps.

Children: Due to her distrust and jealousy, she will not even think about mating or having children which might steal her treasure.

Tyth

Age: 403 Winters

Lair: Spirit Wood

Description: Born under the quarter moon, this red has been endowed with amazing magical strength. Even as a hatchling he was casting spells which many adults could not. The event that is believed to cause this abnormality is the quarter moon he was born under. Once ever few hundred years this magical moon passed over the Realms, all those born that night have increased tendancy for magical forces. Tyth is no different. For three hundred years he traveled, taking all the forms of magic he could. His favorite target's were mage towers and priest churches. He still raids for any magical tome he can possibly find. After only four hundred years his magic rivals that of any wyrm and can already defeat his lord, Mycanth in a duel. After being badly wounded in a battle with a paladin, Tyth ran into Mycanth and she convinced the hatchling to follow her lead. Together they destroyed everything they crossed. Mycanth killing for pleasure, Tyth killing for magic. As a pair they are unbeatable in combat, Mycanth's superior physical power and his magic have leveled entire cities. Unknown to Mycanth, Tyth has long been preparing a spell that will reduce her to puppet stature, and handing himself the reigns of the Traid. Wether or not this spell will work is another matter. Tyth wants nothing more than to become the most powerful creature under the sun, and will stop at nothing to capture this dream.

Children: None.

Roar

Age: 604 Winters

Lair: Spirit Wood

Description: Roar is the eldest of the triad but also the stupidest. A truelly gigantic white, he lacks intelligence but can crush most opposition in a single blow. His true name long since forgotten he was named again by Mycanth when they met while attacking the same town. Even since that day he has loyally followed her and refuses to budge from her side. Barely more than a pet to Mycanth, his powers are still fierce. At birth he was given a small silver band, which has grown int his tail over the years, this band gives him the strange bonus. Whenever he connects with an attack his opponent is automatically struck down and must spend the next turn getting up. This power extends even to other dragons. If all of this wasn't enough, he is nearly impervious to magical attack, providing Mycanth with an effective bodyguard against betrayal if Tyth tries anything. With the natural strength and then the magical enhancement, in addition with his total disregard for personal injury and bloodlust, he makes a more than effective assassin. Mycanth often sends him after other dragon's which pose a danger to her. Viewing Mycanth as his mother he willing gives her all of his treasure and thinks nothing of it. The thoughts of betrayal and disrespect have never entered his mind, and he probably wouldn't know what to do with them even if they did. If it wasn't for Roar then Tyth would have cast his spell long ago, but even this dolt would notice the effects of the magic.

Children: Roar thinks he has one little girl, but isn't sure.
