Dracolich
A Dracolich is an undead dragon created by a roup known as the cult of the dragon. A Dracolich can only be created from a dragon that was evil in life, normaly any chromatic dragon will do. Almost all dracoliches encountered will look the same as they did when they lived except for their eyes that are tiny pinpoints of light inside of empty eye sockets. Skeletal dracoliches have been seen on occasion but are very rare, indicating that the dracolich is so old that preservation magic will no longer work to keep scales and muscle on the bone. A warning to all adventurers that whish to brave such a beast: a dracolich retains all of it's former abilities with some inprovments. One improvment is that a dracolich can freeze a man in his tracks with but a glance, and another is that it inspirers great terror in mortal beings, more than it did in it's mortal life. As you can see it is not wise, even suicidal, to try to defeat a dracolich.

Zoralynth
Age: 1945 winters
Lair: An ancient city long since covered by rockslides.
Description: Deep inside a hidden stronghold, many hundred feet below what now is ground level, Zoralynth resides. Her lair was the great fortress Kalimon, a mountain keep. The place of this fortress has long been lost, as has it's treasure. During the height of it's days it was a center for cavavan travel and commerce. Riches from the world over found their way into it's massive gates. Then one day disaster struck. In the air above an ancient red dragon fought a young silver. During the battle the red was mortally wounded by the silver's attack and died. Upon returning to the dead dragon's lair, Zoralynth, the silver, found a small circlet. Delicately engraven with runes of power and life. Without hesitation Zoralynth donned the crown, and her fate was sealed. The red dragon had arranged for it's death long before this day, and had created the circlet as a form of vessel for it's soul. Once the crown was in place the red dragon took possession of the young silver's body. The ensueing fight for dominance drove Zoralynth insane. Eventually the red dragon's spirit merged with the silvers, creating a very unstable personality. After the possession had finished she left the den and returned to the fort. There the red took command and slaughtered the entire keep. In a last act of defiance, the arch-magi of the fort cast a great spell, sending the fort crashing down upon the dragon. The force of the falling rock killed Zoralynth. Yet the red's circlet was intact and it's desire for life too strong. Unlike most dracoliches, brought back to life by unholy magics and personal greed, Zoralynth was returned by desire for life. The silver in Zoralynth was no more, the rocks having freed that portion of the dragon into the afterlife. Yet the red retained the name and took up residence within the great hall, which had not fallen to ruin, but remained intact. Sealed within this rock prison she waited for the day to once again fly and feed. Slowly her mind deteriorated, she believed herself to still be alive, and still clings to such thoughts. Many centuries after her death a small group of treasure hunters found her lair. The most incredible thing happened, the circlet took their souls and replaced them with her own. Each of the ten men then left, Zoralynth in command of each of their bodies. They brought more soon-to-be puppets, and her "cult" grew. They brought back to her tomes of magic, and treasures gained from the far corners of the world. This cult now numbers over two hundred, each one controlled by the overwhelming psyche of this great dragon. While the actual dragon form retains the size of a young adult, the true power is far beyond. The red's strength was the base, and after centuries of undead improvement, she is among the greatest powers on Toril. Yet, since she refuses to acknowledge her undead stature, she uses not one tenth of her true powers. If the day ever comes that this nightmare realizes the truth, the land of the Forgotten Realms will be terrorized by a might few have ever known.
In all forms of combat Zoralynth is immune to damage. Her existance is held together by force of willpower. For the few which know of her, speculation has been made about the possibility of killing her. The most common agreement is that the circlet must be broken. Doing this is another matter. The circlet itself is formed from the strongest diamond and after the collapse has been embedded deep within Zoralynth's skull. To the point of disappearing almost completely. The destruction of this relic will most likely kill the dragon, but even this is not known. In the past centuries it is possible that Zoralynth has moved the soul canister, in case she perishes.
Each of her servants have a measure of power themselves. With the bodies they have Zoralynth can see, hear, and cast through any slave. Thus many attempts to find the hidding place of this wyrm have fallen before they truelly began as one of her clones moved into talk with the curious party and promptly combusted in a gigantic fireball.
Children: Zoralynth has no children. It is speculated that perhaps the great red had several, but no proof is known to exist.
