though so far apart
There was not reason

Just two hurt alone people
In an illusional world cared, cried, and learned
Together they loved
Talking for hours their
world of dreams grew
There still was no reason
But together felt true
Nothing else mattered
Foolish lovers hearts caught in the whirlwinds
But reality it was not
Bridging the distance
they dreamed it away
There now seemed reason
Together they'd stay
Forever seemed forever
But reality knocked hard on their door
It had to be opened
Both knew there were
others to consider in this
This was the one reason
It could never truly exist
But oh, how much was lost
To have what was most real her husband, his wife

A reason now experienced
The real truth at last
But how to go on
Belonging to others this had become far to real
So one last time they danced
Both felt the tears of

With truest reason
Their worlds fell apart
The friendship lost
He in his world, she in hers they move on
Sometimes they remember
She sometimes dreams of
him, and him of her
Realities reason
Hard lessons learned
Memories remain
Sometimes in dreams their hearts still reach out and touch
